A 220v coil isn't a normal coil voltage. Usually they are low voltage. However I wanted one that would turn on lights on my bandsaw when I turn the key switch that energizes the start button. Before this relay I had to plug in the lights each time and unplug them when done using the saw because the lights don't have switches.The base is actually pretty nice. I've gotten some cheap Chinese ones that only had screws for the terminals. This socket has the square washers under the screws to better hold the wires. The base is an industry standard pin configuration. That means if the relay dies I should have a problem finding a replacement.Just remember that this must go inside an enclosed electrical box. It can be mounted to a DIN rail.
