Do I actually used this to make a Ridgid to hart battery adapter and it works great. If you do use it for that purpose note that you have to bypass the sensing board in all your hart tools but that was fine by me. This adapter is a seemingly fairly durable product made of plastic. It fits the Ridgid batteries very well and makes projects using those batteries so much easier and more finished looking. Haven't used on a power wheel but I have no complaints about this holder especially for the price. I don't see any reason this thing won't last forever working as well as it does today. Great purchase.

Used for a dirt bike. This option was cheaper and an upgrade. Small dirt bikes have a small weak battery that doesn’t last long.

These are very good. I've made a portable DC power supply by bolting this adapter to the bottom of a 3-D printed enclosure with buck converters. The fit between the battery and the adapter plate isn't quite as tight as it is with my tools. It's not a real problem: the electrical connection is fine, and the battery isn't going to fall off. But the battery can rock a little bit. It must be tricky to get the tolerances just right when mating to somebody else's design.

Works great! though, Id recommend figuring out what sort of in-line fuse you would need for this. Ive been running without one, but its not recommended.

Somehow I came across some info on upgrading a child's four wheeler. Our battery was dead and I was going to throw the quad away since it was really, really slow when the battery did work. However, I came across some info on upgrading it to 18v batteries (I have a few rigid tools). So I took the chance and my family is really happy I did. It has been just over a month and my kids ride it almost daily, going through two 4 amp batteries. It goes fast, not dangerously fast, but fast, much faster than the old battery. Nothing has broken, or melted, though I expect at some point it will since I am sure some of the parts are not geared for this amperage, but until then my kids are having a blast. It would be worth your money to buy one cheap at a garage sale or thrift and spend the $20 for the adapter kit. Just make sure you get the correct adapter for your brand of batteries. Oh, and the install was super simple. I sniped the wires on the quad and used butt connectors and crimped them. We did have a wire come loose from the adapter (one of my youngsters pulled on it trying to release the battery) which my son easily took apart and soldered the line back on. Took two minutes.
