Not impossible to stretch on and I have weak hands. I found a screw driver easier to use than the provided tool but I needed more leverage. Also, put the wheel in a vice! Much easier.

I have a 14" Powermatic bandsaw and the original tires were failing. These went on (hard, but they they're supposed to). They come with a small tool to help get them on and it worked like it should. They work just fine and I expect them to outlast the originals. Good purchase.

I used a bucket of hot water to make them stretch, per the instructions. It also came with a tool that helped to stretch the rubber bands over the bandsaw wheels. They appear to be too wide when I first started to install them, but as they are stretched over the wheel they get a little narrower. The difficulty was in keeping them the same width all around the wheel, as they need to fit inside the raised edges on either side of the wheel. I didn't get it done perfectly, but the bandsaw functions well with the new rubber tires.

These Blu Max tires are great. The blades fit tightly and perfectly on the Powermatic 14" bandsaw. Width is perfect. Installation works when you follow the directions. My saw works so much better now. I previously made the mistake of trying Carter belts for my Powermatic 14" bandsaw. Carters do not fit Powermatic saw inspite of their advertising. They practically trashed my saw. They were only 7/8" wide and wandered all over the wheels moving the blades with them. Tracking was impossible.

These are a PERFECT fit for my Powermatic 14” bandsaw. Because of that they are a brute to get on properly. Hottest tap water you can muster to soak the tires and a couple of good spring clamps (use scrap wood pads to preserve the surface of your new tires) and a friend, then some good old elbow grease and attention to detail to get the tires evenly tight. Once I had it all done they were simply fabulously true and tracking is much improved. Put a new blade on at the same time. Did not replace bearings as I just did that recently. Stick to it and take the time and effort to install and you won’t be disappointed. These are better than new.

These tires are specifically for the powermatic 14 inch bandsaw. Why are they too wide, so as they do not fit on the tire wheel without having to trim them. It is ridiculous.
