These are good blades, do a nice job on cedar, anyway. Don't forget two key items:1) Before you replace the blades, you can turn them around and wear out both sides;2) There are two blades in your planer so don't forget to replace them both!I feel a bit bad to recycle the old blades, but at this price it's easier to replace them than try to sharpen them up, especially considering the very narrow exposed portion and the size of some of the nicks that develop in use.

Bought these blades a few months back. first of all you dont get the blades shown in the pic, you get unbranded ones. That was suspicious. I only made 3 cutting boards and 2 shelves with it. It is already badly pitted. Don't waste your money, buy more expensive ones like I'm going to have to do.

Ryobi makes an excellent value planer, but as I found out the hard way, equips the planer with low quality blades which quickly dull and are almost useless for harder woods like ash and maple. Put the Powertec replacement blades in and suddenly the planer cuts through them like they were balsa. The improvement was unbelievable. Could have saved many days of wasted effort if I'd just replaced the factory blades immediately when i bought the tool. After many hours of really hard use planing massive slabs of rock hard maple, the Powertec blades remain razor sharp. Super happy with the Powertec blades.
