Lo pedí para ajustar a 90º el bastidor de un tablero de ajedrez y el resultado ha sido perfecto, manteniendo la estructura perfectamente alienadas mientras se secaba el pegamento.

This clamp is very handy to use and very light. I find that it doesn't register the outside of mitered corners together as well as an older band clamp with corner cauls that I have. But this is a matter of what exact geometry you want - not crushing the corners of miter joints is a valid concern. Now I use the band clamp to make sure the outside of the miters are perfectly registered, then one or more of these clamps to hold the rest of the box in place. Given the price, convenience and flexibility of these clamps, I would absolutely recommend them.

Love this clamp!!! Works best with mitered edges. I took a chance on this because of the price. I now have a couple more on order. So fast and quick to use and takes the place of a bunch of F clamps for doing boxes. I read several of the one star reviews about the strap coming out and they couldn't get it back in. Seriously? If it comes out, it will go back in. Have they never used a ratchet strap? Yes I let mine come out. Yes it took me almost a minute to get it back in, but a one star review because the tolerances are tight? You want them right, you need them tight. If you are not using mitered edges, I would suggest an angle guide or just a piece of scrap to help keep one corner square. It is a belt after all. Also, if your edges are not flat to begin with the tension this clamp can produce will let you know real quick as they will slide. Cut your edges square and it isn't an issue. Take a minute to dry fit your parts and play with the clamp. It is a simple device but you should do a test run a time or two to be completely comfortable with the tension system. Once you get it, this clamp will amaze you.

This is an excellent clamping device with many uses. When making decorative boxes I used to make up clamping jigs as shown in the photo. Those work but are difficult to use. This product makes the process far easier. You can also use it for clamping the box with the top section still attached. In the photo the top has been cut off already but that is only because I forgot to take the picture with the box intact with the clamp on.It is easy to adjust and well made. Provides plenty of clamping power and the strap provided is long enough for anything I would need it for. The small cut outs on the corner clamps also allow the glue to dry with no interference.Highly recommend this anyone working with wood for small projects like this. Thanks for an excellent tool!

I just got it today, and I've only used it once, but so far I am happy..... I have a home side-business where I need strap clamps for to glue-up frames. I have 3 Bessey, but I need a few more, which quickly turns to over a hundred bucks in no time. I wanted to see if this was a viable option. So far I think it is. I'll test it hard this weekend. If it goes well, I'll be ordering a few more in a few days.UPDATE: 2/22/2019: Used it on 3 frames so far. 100% happy with it. I'm order two more clamps. And I'd love to buy some of the corner pieces. For true 90 degree corners, they do a much better job of alignment than the Bessey variable pieces.UPDATE: 8/5/2020: LOVE these things. Been using them non-stop in my Etsy shop (ParkersScratchers) making wood frames. I now have 10 of them and they are perfect. This past weekend I found myself with enough orders that I had to get out 2 of my old Bessey clamps. I forgot how clumsy and annoying they can be.The one heads-up I'd give on the PowerTec is to make sure the short-side lever is tightened as soon as you open the package. Just do it. If you manage to pull the strap from the clamp, all you have to do is slip the end through the black frame, then push it through with a straight blade screwdriver or even a butter knife.

The last time I had done any serious woodworking (making a new case for my wife's inherited silver), to hold the corners while the glue set I had only my set of old iron screw clamps that I had inherited from my father-in-law. Heavy, wobbly, prone to scratching, and generally disagreeable to work with. The clamps he gave me weren't much better.Recently asked to build a toy box, I went into the garage and looked at those clamps for long, uncomfortable minutes. Then I went back inside and fired up Amazom.com to to see what else might be out there. Lo and behold, I found this band clamp. It was a delight to use. I was able to glue and set the entire box in a single go because the band clamp could be pre-sized; the gluing done, and then the clamp applied and tightened speedily and with one hand. It was also light weight, so it stayed exactly where I placed it on the project; no sliding or twisting under the weight of the clamp handle. So I learned my lesson; father-in-laws are still not available online, but I can at least limit the abuse to special occasions like Thanksgiving or birthdays now. So I've got that going for me.

I got this band clamp for making boxes about the size of jewelry boxes (approx. 7x11"in) and found it to work quite well. the band was easy to configure and the extra length of the band comes rolled up with a retaining elastic, and that system works quite well for controlling the extra band (it can get pretty large so for my small application there was a significant amount of extra band that I appreciated having rolled up and out of my way while I was working)The box I was making had thin walls (about 1/4in) and were mitered to 45degrees at the corners. I was able to get these thin boards to line up well and press evenly and tightly using this band, and it did not take much fiddling at all to get right. The screw handle pulls the band tight by extending the corner attached to the handle, which seems to work well. I think I will get a lot of use out of it, and may purchase another so I can do multiple projects at once. The one thing I wish was that the short end of the band had some kind of 'stop' or other means of preventing the band from slipping out of the handle, which requires threading it back through which can be annoying. After I put more length on that side it wasn't troublesome, but I can imagine it would be a pain if trying to use the band clamp at close to maximum extension size.
