I purchased this miter gauge to replace the horrible one that came with my table saw (rhymes with bee halt). After making sure my blade was square to the table, I made a couple of test cuts. The miter gauge was out of square by a smidge, but it only took a few minutes to tweak it. I then added an extension of 1/2”MDF. For my “jobsite” saw, this gauge is a good match- cuts aren’t perfect, but they’re good enough for my skill and equipment level.

The design and construction of this miter gauge are excellent, and the device is beautifully machined. Assembly and adjustment was quick and easy, and the instructions are clear. The gauge was perfectly square right out of the box, so no adjustment was required besides tightening up the miter bar expansion discs to ensure a perfect fit in the slot. The angle stops are calibrated to the 0-degree position, so all cuts are accurate and consistent. I have not installed a miter fence, but the mount appears to accommodate either a purchased or home mede fence system. The only negative observation is that the depth of the saw t-slot results in the face of the gauge colliding with front edge of the saw table, but that is easily dealt with by using it carefully with wider pieces. That, however, may be the caused by the design of the table saw I'm using (Dewalt DWE7485 job site table saw with T-slots). General construction in most cases won't require the accuracy this device provides, so consider your use before spending the money; however, this piece is a great investment at a good value for furniture building or fine woodworking. I'd buy it again

My dewalt portable table saw came with one but you could tell just by looking at it that it was junk. So I purchased this one and made my own jig for crosscutting. Works great and tightens down to the tracks easily. Angles are spot on. For a beginner like me this more than meets my needs especially after building a similar jig for it which you can find millions of versions online and on YouTube. For your average diy novice this works wonderfully in my opinion.

This miter gauge is far and away the best quality I've ever seen, and I've have owned 9 or 10 table saws in my 40+ year carpentry career. I picked up a used Bosch 10" table saw recently that was missing the miter gauge. Ordered this one even tho it was $70; the OEM Bosch unit was almost as much but just the same-o same-o. The quality and precision of the PowerTec is just off the charts. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

Had to replace the one that came with my saw, this one works great. Very precise and stable, was able to adjust the slide width to fit the groove on my table saw perfectly. A nice upgrade.

I have a couple tools I want to use this on. Foremost is my craftsman table saw. This would not fit in the cast iron top. It's just a little too wide. I took it all apart and started filing it down. It now fits very nicely. However, putting a square on it showed it was off from 90 degrees. Ran out of time today but I'll be attempting to square it up later. Seems well made. One thing I did and they should have, was to flatten two sides of the t washer so it can be used on a non-t slot by turning it to the flat sides and on a t-slot it can be turned back. This way you don't have to take it off the slide on none t-slot tools.

I just received the Powertec Deluxe Miter Gauge today. I was looking for a basic miter gauge that was sturdy, easy to adjust, and easy to read. This miter is looking like it will tick all of the boxes for me. The price point is excellent. Out of the box, the product was mostly assembled and adjusted. I had to make a minor adjustment to bring the miter gauge in alignment with the miter slot. The instructions are clear and simple to follow. Powertec provides additional washers for replacing lost or damaged adjustable ones on the miter bar. I learned about this company in a Fine Woodworking miter gauge tools review. Although I did not purchase the specific model in the review I am more than happy with the quality of this model. Miter gauges do not need to be complicated. They just need to have the ability to be trued when out of square and lock in the angles when needed. You will not go wrong with the Deluxe Miter Gauge from Powertec. (I rearely post reviews and I am not sponsored by any companies).

While this is made of reasaonably heavy materials I had several issues with it out of the box. I considered returning it but ended up making it work OK. My needs are limited and I really just wanted something to allow me to make cuts without having to freehand them.I am using this in a swag offroad bandsaw table for a Milwaukee bandsaw. I may replace it later with an Incra. For now I was not ready to spend that much on one and this was half the cost. Even at half this is pushing it on the value. The issues I had were:1. The handle was loose initially and would simply spin when tightened down and thus could not be tighted down well. But this was resolved by tightening the hex screw in the handle.2. The washer had to come out for this to fit in my table. That thing was extremely hard to remove. Obviously a machine put it in (a terminator model 101 ?). If I had not had an impact wrench I would not have got it out. I'd have had to return it. I put a good quality milwaukee screwdriver on it which did not slip but neither would it budge. I turned it so hard it felt like the driver would nearly snap but nothing. It eventually came out reasonably easy with an electric impact wrench but I had to put my weight on it to keep it from slipping. Hope you have an impact wrench if you plan to remove the washer. Hey everyone needs one anyway.3. Since the washer was too big to go in my slot I made my own washer (a square one) to hold it in place using some scrap 1/8" thick aluminum I had on hand. That worked to a reasonable degree. But I had hoped this might have a trapezoidial profile so that it would stay in the slot on its own but it is simply square. It does however fit my slot reasonably well.4. The spring loaded nub that goes in the detents does not come up all the way (see pics) and it only fits loosely in the detent. As a result there is a full 2 degrees of slop when in hte detents. So you have to manually assure it is in the right position when tightening it down.

I bought this to replace a cheap miter gauge that I'd had for a while. This is a really well made tool that improved my right-angle cuts on my table saw. The construction is very solid and the positive stops on the gauge are very accurate. There's no clamp that comes with it, so I had to hold each piece of work by hand when cutting, but the results were great.
