Works well. It is just a bunch of batteries but they seem to have good capacity. Way more than my original batteries. Interfaces well with my drill and my charger. I would buy again.

We use the Black & Decker grass trimmer and blower combo for our yard work. Sometimes the factory battery would not have enough juice to run both the trimmer and then the blower to finish the clean up. I purchased this one to have a second battery.The battery has the same size and feel as the OEM. It fits the factory charger as well as the tools the same as the original. The charge indicator light works the same as the original too. The OEM battery is rated at 2.0AH and the new one is 3.0AH. To me, they both seem to have they same run time. My original battery is about 6 years old.I wanted to buy a Black & Decker brand backup battery, but just could not justify the extra cost with this battery being available. Time will tell about the longevity of this battery. So far so good though! By the way, the Black & Decker trimmer/blower combo has been an outstanding set of 40v battery powered yard tools.

Like others, I purchased this as a spare battery and trusted Amazon's rating as "Amazon's Choice" because it was cheaper than the Black and Decker equivalent battery and supposedly equivalent in performance. I had minimal problems with the battery performance other than sometimes finding it difficult to get the green flashing light indicating that it was charging. I probably only used this battery 10 times and I noticed the cover coming off. None of the screws would tighten so I removed the cover to see what the problem was. As you can see in the photos the threaded hole has cracked and broken in all 4 positions. This battery is not repairable. This problem is not caused by a defect but a poor design. The screw only protrudes slightly more than 1/4 inch into the threaded hole. It could have been prevented by using a half inch longer screw. In my opinion, the problem I had will happen on other batteries. I'll spend the extra money and buy the Black and Decker battery as my backup.Sept 5 - I previously stated that the battery was not repairable after the cover came loose due to the threaded holes cracking. I didn't want to throw the battery away so discovered that if you remove the existing screws and replace them with a longer #4 X 1 inch Pan Head screw, the cover can be tightened.

As a result of the review I left below and my 2 star rating, the company reached out to me and replaced the battery. I've used the replacement 4 or 5 times, it is an amazing battery; lasts for a long time, I can weed my yard and the neighbors in one charge with time left. The reason for the 4 stars and not five, it doesn't fit my B&D weed eater smoothly, it's very difficult to remove and I worry about damaging either the weed eater or the battery. Also, it's a sensitive battery, you can not leave it in the charger, the weed eater, or place it on metal (among many other things that will kill it). I am very impressed and thankful with the customer service I've received.I thought this was the end all to all battery issues. The battery lasted forever! I would look for things to zap until the battery ran out...my yard looked great! I also read the reviews, don't leave in the charger, don't leave in the weed eater...it kills the battery. I did neither and after about 5 uses, it stopped working, will not charge. I should be able to return this item, but I'm guessing this happens often with this product. For $45 it's not worth the amount of uses you get.
