Simply stated, more is better when it comes to transmission fluid. Higher volumes of fluid take longer to heat up, allowing for more stable transmission temperatures and extending transmission life.
PPE’s Heavy-Duty Deep Transmission Pans hold an extra 8 quarts of fluid and are made of high-grade A356.0-T6 aluminum alloy for optimal heat dissipation. External cooling fins also help reduce fluid temperatures.
Transmission pan also features a high-powered Neodymium magnet equipped drain plug to help pull harmful ferrous metal contaminants from transmission fluid. 1/8 inch NPT access port for optional temperature sensor included and pan is compatible with OEM gasket.

Clean product, no problems. You could definitely use the gasket they send but I did the filter as well so used an o-ring.With filter took 18.5 qts to fill properly so just keep that in mind.Cooling effect seems to work, but have towed with it yet.If you have a 4x4 don’t forget the transfer case fluid as well

Product leaked due to casting issues After 1 year, finally gave up and had it removed and went back to factory pan. Nothing but a headache.

This is a strong heavy duty pan with drain to get rid of plastic pan without a drain.

**** Update***After 3 weeks I noticed I had a leak from around the pan gasket area. Drained and pull the pan, replaced gasket with another new one and refilled. Ran truck 2 days up and down the highway and still experiencing the leak. I believe I may have a bad machining on the pan. Have not pulled it down again to check with a straight edge.Product is solidly made. Came in appropriate packaging to avoid damage. Comes with new set of hardware which are Allen head screws that I do not prefer for future removal. Been a mechanic too long to trust them when they fill with debris and then strip. I would like to see hex head bolts in the kit.Took me about 45 min start to finish to remove old pan and install new pan with new filter. Pan gasket does not come with the pan.Gasket Ford PN- LC3Z7F396cFord Filter PN - FT221Before performing I did a test drive to record trans temps which were 215-217°. After install and fluid swap temps were 183-189° for the same drive. Time will tell if it really makes it cooler with towing my 16,000 5th wheel.
