Just what I needed. FYI, the factory hinge has rivets so it's fun removing those so you can use lag bolts. But, it ended up working well.

My left side hinge bent in an awful way. I noticed it when we bought the house, it just got worse over the year. Now it bent so bad it prevents use from accessing the attic to put away seasonal stuff. Finally got around to replacing just the hinge. Some people go overboard and get a whole new attic ladder assembly, nope not me. Too much work.So the original hinge plate has rivots mounted through the frame. I got the biggest drill bit and drilled the rivots out. Easy. These didn’t come with any hardware screws but I had some laying around. Used lag bolts about 4” long that fit through the new hinge plate.Pre drilled some pilot holes slightly smaller in diameter to the lag bolts, and drilled in the bolts nice and secure. Attached the original spring I saved, and pulled down the hinge to the ladder bolt and get the nut on to finish it, which could be a bit tricky and need some strength due to the spring tension. Best to use gloves at this point. All done.

No complaints! My handyman installed it in like 5 minutes TOPS. It’s perfect and feels very secure.

Replaced hinges on older Keller ladder. Had to move base because of different dimensions. It was no problem doing the install without additional help. The long runner made an effective lever for tensioning the spring. Ladder sits flush when raised.

Save me lot of money by installing it myself instead of replace the whole attic ladder. I had to do some adjustment of the length to fit my attic ladder to match the other side. The price is reasonable.
