I bought this kit to repaint a room with two coats. I was unsure whether the lightweight plastic tray would work out well as a replacement for the aluminum one I was used to but it was fine. The tray liner made cleanup simpler. The brush was perfect for all the cut-in work and also cleaned up nicely. The nap of the rollers was just right for painting drywall texture.

I usually buy the cheapest roller/tray/paint brush combo I can find, but this time I was painting a lighter color over a darker paint color so I was a little concerned about how many coats I would have to paint. I was pleasantly pleased with the performance of the Purdy paint brush and roller. The paint went up smoothly, quickly and even. I will always use this going forward, highly recommend!

What can I say, if you paint you know. Purdy is the best on the market period. In my prior experience as contractor painter, I have painted 30 rooms with the same 2” brush doing all the cuts. Still works like new.

Have used Purdy painting brushes for years. Several months ago, hubby couldn’t find a Purdy, so he brought home another brand. It lasted for several hours and shed bristles in its path. I found these Purdy brushes on Amazon and I have used for multiple rooms and all brushes are still like new.

Terrible quality of a product. Maybe a seconds batch or something but not worth the money. Leaves a terrible finish even with high end Benjamin Moore paint

Just buy new liners for the tray and new rollers. Love this brand. This is a great kit, I’ve bought more than one just because it can be cheaper to buy this kit than the individual stuff. If painting your house, go with this brand! Don’t go cheap!
