This lanyard is incredibly heavy-duty and not cumbersome at all. There are stainless steel carabiner clips on each end, but also a clip in the center to keep the lanyard from getting in the way. The materials used are of a decent quality and it has held up to salt water use with absolutely no corrosion. What I like best is that there are many uses for this lanyard and many attachment points. I personally use it to attach my smaller spear gun for security purposes, but I could also see using it for holding on to other things such as catch bags, underwater notebooks, and flashlights to name a few. Overall a great item for anyone who dives!

I don't dive as much as I used to, so I've found that this is useful for other purposes as well. When kayaking I can use this as a leash for pliers or other tools. I even use this when climbing up our trees to trim them and want a leash for my hand saw.
