Self Inflating Memory Foam
No need to deal with pumps and cords. Our memory foam starts to expand when you open the dual screw valves. In no time at all, the mat is fully inflated and a full 3 1/4” inch thick. Adjust the firmness up or down to your preference. The mat will deflate as you roll it up, which takes less than a minute.
Tesla Sized Sleeping Area
Our Tesla Bed is extra long at 75”, enough to reach from the tailgate all the way to the front seats (scoot them forward). Even if you aren’t 6’3”, this gives you extra area to set your pillow and fully extend your legs. For comparison, the bed is about the same size as a Twin mattress.
No Compromise on Quality
The mattress is made with durable materials so it will last you countless camping trips. The top layer is covered in black micro suede for softness, while the durable bottom layer has micro dots to prevent slipping. The valves are solid and substantial and the memory foam inside is the ideal density.

This mattress is nowhere near as comfortable as they would like you to believe. When I saw this listed, I thought it was at least partially inflated in the sense that you would need a pump. It’s not. You open two air valves and the mattress allows a little air in. Close the valves and the air stays in. But it’s not much air. There is also some foam in there. So, in total, once inflated, the mattress isn’t even twice as high as it was before inflation. As soon as I rest my 250 pound frame on it, the air cushion collapses and I’m left with only the foam. It is not comfortable.The mattress is a 36”x75” rectangle. The back of a Tesla 3 is not a rectangle. There are places where the back is as wide as 55” and in others it’s as narrow as 37”. So a rectangle shaped mattress may fit in the back but it will never cover all of the areas you would like covered.The manufacturer did some photo magic for the listing. The 3rd picture makes the mattress look as wide as the car’s back seats. This is completely untrue. The rear hip area is about 53” wide. If the mattress is 36” wide (as claimed) it’s nowhere near wide enough to cover the majority of the back width. But the back also isn't wide enough to fit two mattresses side by side. The very last picture - the one captioned “WHERE WILL YOU CAMP?” - shows the mattress being about as wide as the opening at the rear. This may or may not be true. I couldn’t possibly know because, though this is the listing for the Tesla 3 mattress, the picture is of a hatchback car. The Tesla 3 has a trunk, not a hatchback. For this picture, I suspect they used a very wide angle lens that distorts the dimensions.Finally, as I reviewed the listing’s photos with the benefit of my newly acquired hindsight, I figured out why the attractive young lady was smiling. She’s probably no more than 150 pounds (sorry if I guessed way too high, it’s difficult to see her height without a reference) and SHE’S ALONE! There is no way anyone heavier than 150 pounds would appreciate this mattress and there’s no way two people could share it.

I really tried to love this thing. It’s got a premium build quality, self-inflates 90% of the way making your life easier, and comes with a quality carrying bag that fits easily in your Tesla.The main problem is size. If you’re a solo camper about 5’8” you’ll probably love it. But my wife and I struggled to share this thing in the back of our model Y. Some Tesla specific products are contoured to the shape of the car and can support themselves all the way from the rear gate to the seat backs, giving you almost the whole car as your bed. Since this pad is just a rectangle you’ll have to make do with the footprint it provides. I also haven’t seen a product yet that can do anything about the Y not having a truly flat surface, so side sleepers will be uncomfortable. Such is car camping. In the end we bought a fits-all-sizes car mattress that was cheaper, bigger and folds down smaller that we prefer.

Snagged this bad boy for ~$75 and it works alright. You need to give it time to inflate. Im happy enough with it and it feels quality. It is a great size for the back, fills it up nicely but leaves space on the sides for pillows and gear. Good firmness and comfort also. It is no deluxe optimal sleeper setup, but it's a solid choice for car camping. I am 200 lbs man.It rolls up nicely into the bag when you are done. Inflates much faster aftet the first time.
