It took longer than I wanted for it to work. Had to contact support for help but eventually it was resolved. They were very helpful! Nevertheless I used this as a hotspot with my old phone device and the internet worked fast. Once it worked we had no issues connecting to the internet and it worked smoothly

Got this SIM card for an upcoming family vacation to Japan. It was super quick delivery & instructions are straight forward. I won’t be able to test it out til I get to Japan as I’m worried about accidentally activating the 8 day if I put it in my phone now. Will update after the trip!

I cannot comment on service yet, because I have not actually used it in Japan yet.On the surface, this appears to be a nice card to give you data while in Japan without worrying about what kind of plan you have.A few things of note:You have to have an UNlocked phone. Also, you need to have space for a physical SIM card, as this is not an eSIM. And it is ONLY for data, you will not have the ability to talk and text. However, with data, you can always use apps such as WhatsApp and Skype to make a few calls.

I was in Japan for 9 days and this SIM card worked pretty much all over TokyoI didn’t encounter any issues activating but make sure to give it half a day to activate

Worked well in my iPhone 12 Pro and though I didn't hit the limit it's nice to know that it will continue to work even if it's at a lower speed. Was more than enough for a 2 week trip with the help of free wifi.

Super easy to activate and it works great. Fast connection and 15GB for 10 days is more than enough for most people. Great price too. Recommended.

Set up took a lot of re-reading of the instructions but hey, it worked! So really, take your time and make sure to activate it at the right time. The card is perforated to allow for multiple sizes and phones. If your phone has a sim tray and you're travelling, sure, give this a shot!

Although I primarily relied on a rental wifi hotspot on my recent vacation to Japan, I wanted a sim card in my phone that could give me data in the case that I didn't have access to the wifi hotspot (forgot it, dead battery, etc). This worked just fine, although the documentation included could be improved. I general operating procedure, from what I can tell, is that you get "x" amount of days and data after an activation date that you specify by scanning a SIM-specific QR code/accessing a unique URL included in the instructions. You specify what you'd like your first available day of data to be (ie, when you arrive in Japan or other country), and then pop it in your phone. The instructions aren't super great and had some typos in my booklet, for which I removed a star, but they're not impossible to follow. This is a physical sim, which has its pros and cons, with no assigned number - data only, which can be circumvented using Google voice, Whatsapp, Skype, etc. From there on out, you get a certain amount of 4G-speed data per day (with unlimited slow data after that), up to the total limit specified. I wasn't able to use a total 20 GB, since I had wifi access, but did encounter a couple of days that I ran up against the 1GB limit (where I forgot the wifi hotspot or someone else was carrying it). 128 kb/s is very, very slow.Ultimately, I would recommend this to anyone with a dual sim phone, who could keep their normal number plus this for additional data, or as an emergency backup to keep in reserve in case something happens to your primary phone.
