The Presentime and Company Louis the 16th mantle clock is a great addition to any home or office. The clock is easy to get going. You simply unscrew the top, insert batteries, adjust the time and it’s ready to go. It has a unique display of the time that is different from anything else I’ve owned. It looks elegant and adds a bit of uniqueness to your decoration. The clock is fun.

Being a collector of clocks this Presentime Louis XVI clock is different. I have many windup wall clocks, mantle clocks, grandfather and cuckoo clocks and this one stands out. This flat and round clock has a nice faux wood finish (appears to be made from MDF) and nicely finished antique bronze metal lid. One issue that I deducted 1 star, is that the time dial is not level. As you are looking at time indicator marker, to the left the time band is higher and to the right the time tilts down. The clock is easy to set-up and get going. Be sure to follow the included instructions for proper set-up. It took a day or two to settle in and is now keeping good time. The first day the time would be as much as 15 minutes off, I would keep resetting and now all is good. It takes a single AA battery.

This mantel clock is a top quality product. It is bigger than I thought when I ordered it! Which is great! It comes with a plastic insert to keep the battery fresh for the first use! I love the idea of being able to put the plastic insert back to save the battery, if I decide to tak it with me when I travel. It keeps accurate time! I recommend this clock! I hope this helps! God is good! All of the time!

Okay, I know we really don’t need a Louis XVI clock these days, but this item is gorgeous and a great conversation piece. The rich Walnut wood is perfectly crafted and sanded to a smooth finish. The brass top adds a touch of elegantes to the piece and the time tape is enclosed in clear and protective glass. In addition, I’ve been using it for nearly two weeks, and, thus far, it is keeping perfect time. This item would look great in nearly any room, and would make a wonderful gift, especially for those people who seem to already have everything.Overall – Beautifully fashioned and stylish item at a reasonable price.

Okay, I'll admit it, I got this Louis XVI horizontal clock from Presentime & Co. just because it looked cool. I have never seen a clock like this and I was just enthralled from the get go. It now sits in its home on top of the piano in the front room and just looks amazing.I was surprised at how large it was. For whatever reason, I was expecting something the size of one of those old domed bell ringers at the hotel lobby desk. This is definitely larger than that. It's not huge, but it's a good size for a clock.Do be sure to take the little plastic thingy out of the bottom as there are warnings on the top and bottom that you will damage the clock if you don't take it out before you try to put in a battery or set the time. Both of those things are achieved through unscrewing the little brass knob on the top and removing the lid.This is a great conversation piece that also just so happens to be a functioning and accurate time keeping device.10/10 would definitely recommend!

This is a very unique and attractive timepiece. That will look wonderful in a library, on a mantle, or in an office. The wood arrived scratch free and a beautiful, dark color, and the brass accents at the top really set that off. It’s larger than I imagined, taking up 7.5” ofreal estate on my bookshelf. It’s easy to get this up and running, you just unscrew the finial at the top, insert a battery (not included), set the time, put it all back together and enjoy. My biggest complaint is that the time ring sheet is a little cheap looking & I wish that the seam was a little more seamless. But that is just nitpicking. It really is very interesting and beautiful piece that I can see being handed down through generations.

This clock is very different from most other clocks out there, using a rotating drum with the hour printed on it and a single stationary needle to point out the time. It is definitely a unique timepiece, and would likely look quite good on most mantels. Removing the top screw and panel reveals the movement, which appears to be a pretty standard clock movement, with the drum simply attached to where the hour hand would normally go. Other than that, the clock is pretty self explanatory; the build seems to be relatively sturdy (although it still wouldn't be advisable to drop it) and it is definitely a conversation starter. The one main downside would be the price; at $60, it is quite a bit more expensive than other clocks.
