Unique screw-on bell assembly (to hear low frequency sounds). Extra thick-walled PVC tubing helps shield the sounds as they travel to the ear while blocking out ambient noise. This is a light weight aluminum chestpiece stethoscope, if you are looking for a low cost dual head for pediatrics and adults then this is your only option at $25. Can you find others??? Sure, but so so ugly - this one is smart, decent acoustics, and you don’t have to spend $80 on a Littmann clinical III (or IV). Get a pair of pliers and unscrew the metal piece that the ear tips fit on - replace with Littmann ear tips - they fit fine, just push them on. It also has a bell, but it’s stupid in my opinion- if you want a bell on an adult stethoscope, there are tons more options at near same price point and higher quality. This truly it for the dual diaphragm use at this price. Enjoy- Peds MD.
