I bought this for my wife, she's a vet assistant. She purchased a cheaper one for her first day at the new practice and it was a disaster! I saw an opportunity to swoop in and be a good husband so I got her this one. It worked super well out of the box and they have a few color options available. Nice and lightweight while being quality enough to get the job done.

I bought this bc we just found out our cat has a heart murmur and so does my Dad who’s having heart surgery coming up so I can check their heart beats in between Dr visits. I’ve never really used one before so I’m still getting the hang of it, but I can definitely hear my cats heart murmur and can definitely hear the differences between my other cats heart beats. Sorry for the sad looking pic but I’m worried especially hearing how loud his murmur is :( also, since cats have small hearts and fur you might need to research where to place the bell piece so you can hear clearly and pay attention to how to put the earpieces in to get a good noise canceling seal.

I bought this stethoscope to use during my labs as I'm currently studying to get my bachelor's degree in veterinary technology. I wish it came in different colors, but at the end of the day the performance is what matters. It's perfect for getting a good heart rate reading in both large and small animals. I've worked with cats, dogs and horses so far and it has worked great on all three. Very crisp sound and easy to count beats. The longer tubing is a huge plus, especially when working with horses since you have to reach down under their elbow. The ear pieces are comfortable for short periods of time, I just have small ears! I like that it came with extra ear pieces, a snap on label so you can have your name on it, and extra plastic to fit on the bell if needed. I use this often and keep it in my car all the time. Highly recommended!

I am a veterinary student and got this stethoscope because I wanted long tubing for large animal and sled dog exams. The quality vs. cost is fantastic. I can get the stethoscope down my coat sleeve so it doesn't freeze in cold weather, which it fantastic for sled dog work. I tested it out on my two dogs and cat and I could hear heart/lung sounds clearly. I was so thankful to find a product that has such long tubing and great quality.

I bought this to monitor our cat's heart rate at home. She's being treated for a heart condition and I didn't want to have to run to the vet just to check her heart rate. I've used the stethoscopes at the vet's office, and this is just as good and easy to use. It's very sturdy. You can feel the quality when you pick it up. And I love that it comes in purple, too. I'd say this is perfect for both home and professional use. And the price is reasonable.

i bought this to keep on hand with my pet first aid supplies. i am a red cross pet first aid instructor & we still show students how to check for a pulse, even though if you're not sure within a few seconds assume none, because it will be gone anyway soon & it delays the chest compressions for circulation. particularly since no ambulance is coming. i had a vet tech in class who asked - wouldn't it be easier to use a stethoscope? sure is! when i saw this for under $30 it does make sense to me to keep it on hand. i do have a kitty with heart disease & irregular, rapid rhythms so for the price, i feel it's well worth keeping with my pet care supplies. i definitely hear the difference in the heart rate of the kitty with heart problems vs the others. i mention their merit in my classes & show it to the students. for the price, it's definitely not a waste of money & can be very useful in animal care.

My cat has a heart murmur and the vet suggested I learn to be aware of his heartbeat and sound. Though she said I'd not need this, as it takes years to learn how to listen properly, I feel better listening anyway. I figure once I learn what he sounds like normally (even if I can't decipher it) I may at least be able to identify if it changes. We'll see. There is an RN in the family who can help me use this a little. It's nicely made and seems well built.
