I like everything about it. It’s a warm liner for my M65. It appears to be new or almost new, It has all the button holes in the right places so that it can attach to my M65. I have it 5 stars.

One person's junk is another person's treasure. This field "down coat" is perfect for hiking and backpacking. Worn over a t-shirt or under a button-down, long-sleeved collared top will keep you warm in cooler conditions and is very comfortable feeling. It's very light-weight and packs down small in a backpack. It is semi-wind and rain resistant, moisture-wicking, and fast drying. Item arrived very used/worn with many noticeable major sewing repairs and no buttons, but for the price I paid was worth the money; it cost a fraction of what a new one would've cost. I sewed buttons on it myself. All-in-all, as an Army Veteran and current experienced hiker/backpacker, I recommend this product. Good deal and quality for the price paid, as long as you are ok with well-broken into, high quality and durable things.

I placed an order for a NEW smokers jacket and I got one that had a funky smell to it, no buttons attached to close the front, and the tag was all worn out so I can’t even tell if they sent me the right size. I would have given them a 0 out of 5 stars but that option isn’t available. I’m completely unsatisfied with the product so don’t waste your time on it if you're thinking of buying from this retailer or waste your money.

The listing for this field jacket liner stated that it 1. was previously issued, 2. was new, 3. was in very good condition. The liner which I received was brand new, original old stock, cost $17.99 and shipped for free. It was a perfect fit, matched the field jacket button for button, and was made in USA. I was pleasantly surprised, since the reviews were all over the board. Some customers complained of getting ratty old worn out liners, while other reviewers were satisfied. Apparently the main issue with this product has to do with the sellers.

I use this mostly on cold mornings in the field or while hunting. Also works well as a mini woobie, to wrap around your feet at night. Buttons are spaced weird, as the distance is inconsistent, but nobody sees it. Can’t beat it for the money as a cold weather layer.

Amazon had these for a great price, and I love this thing. I used to have one when I was younger that I used as an insulation layer while snowboarding and then I lost it. It was a sad day. I finally got a new one and use it whenever I know I'm going to be outside for a while and need an extra layer. It's really comfortable and easy to move around in, even if I wear it under a jacket that is pretty well fitted to my body; it doesn't add bulk.

Just got my M-65 field jacket liner. Surprisingly, mine has the three buttons as shown in the photo, contrary to what some others had reported. The buttons allow the liner to be worn as a light jacket around the house or under other non-military coats. The liner I received appeared to be new and is in excellent condition. It is slightly more green than olive drab, but that is not an issue. However, the real purpose of the liner - and the reason I bought it - is to go inside the M-65 field jacket. I still have my 43-year-old olive drab field jacket. I also have my 33-year-old original camo BDU field jacket. (Officers had to buy their jackets.) However, the liner was issued along with other field gear, so I had to turn in back in 17 years ago when I retired after 27+ years of duty. It's been 17 years since I last wore the field jacket, but they are still in good condition. So, I decided to buy the liner to put the jackets to good use again. As they say in Game of Thrones - "winter is coming."

This is the real deal army issue, and noted as previously issued, these are like new condition. I was issued same as while enlisted in the Army and Post OCS, as an infantry officer, these is a must have "snivel gear" while on light infantey missions. I believe this to still be one of the the most versatile, light weight cold weather gear, whether it is used as a liner or a lightweight layer over shirt. Does the job in maintaining warmth, especialy in dynamic acticity. In static situations add additional lyering as needed. Also, The arm pit area is ventilated to ebhance air flow when needed. Pleasantly surprisex by the added buttons so it can be used as a stand alone shield. In terms of civilian use, its ideal with a good waterproof/windproof shell. Multiple layers above and below this layer will keep you warm or cool when layers are adjusted...ideal for long hikes or wilderness outing. I had to order 2 more because when friends try this, they somehow end up with my good "ole snivel". Lastly, these work great with gen1,2,3 gore tex parkas.
