This thing is awesome for general volume measurements (mainly room size) but the Pythagorean mode lets you measure the length of anything. You just point at a spot far away from you and then turn the laser to a point perpendicular to you and voila. I tested this on a credenza and the measure came out exactly the same as a standard tape measure.The history feature is nice to save your measurements and I love that this is USB-C for standard charging (no replaceable batteries to worry about!). Overall great little measuring tool that will make measurements a lot more accurate and easy.

love that is rechargeble. I have spent many dollars on buying AAA batteries over the past 10 years. this is the 3rd one i've purchased. the last one was a bosch which had great screen readable in sunlight but it was cumbersome and sometimes could not get a reading in very bright conditions longer than 35 feet. This device is practically perfect for my job except that I cannot read it therefore I have to buy another one.
