Primary Arms GLx 1x MicroPrism with Illuminated ACSS Cyclops Gen 3 Reticle-PA-GLX-1XMP-CYCLOPS-G

With its wider objective lens and updated internal design, the GLx 1x MicroPrism offers superior glass quality and edge-to-edge clarity with ½ MOA adjustments. Optimized for fast target acquisition, the GLx 1x MicroPrism has near unlimited eye relief for consistent performance across different mounts and platforms. This MicroPrism also introduces push button controls and improved reticle illumination. Experience the reliability and durability of a prism scope with the lightweight usability of a red or green dot sight with the GLx 1x MicroPrism.

Using cutting-edge LED technology, the GLx 1x MicroPrism offers 13 illumination settings with AutoLive motion-sensing on/off technology for ultra-low light, medium/transitional light, and IR flood applications. The MicroPrism offers innovative low-power sleep mode and safeguards battery life for reliable ‘always-on’ storage. Though small, virtually no sacrifice was made for eye relief and even offers a generous field of view.

This package also includes the ruggedized mounting system with industry standard mini-prism footprint, guaranteeing reliability and zero retention through heavy use and adverse conditions. Out of the box, this mount offers 8 different mounting heights and configurations, ranging from a 1” centerline to over a 2” centerline. No matter your preference, the 1x MicroPrism can easily stand apart at your ideal optic height. The ACSS Cyclops Gen 3 reticle features a large horseshoe that draws your eye to the infinitely precise center chevron. The gen 3 version features a thinner horseshoe helping to improve sight picture while still retaining all the bullet drop compensation and auto ranging features as the gen 2.

ACSS Reticle

The ACSS (Advanced Combined Sighting System) is a giant leap forward in reticle design that increases first hit ratio and decreases time on target dramatically. The Cyclops reticle combines, bullet drop compensation and range estimation into a simple-to-use sighting system. Use the horseshoe as a large, quick aiming reference for fast snap shooting up close. For precision shooting, use the tip of the chevron located inside the horseshoe.

I ordered the GLx1 first, because newer is better. I liked it, I had no complaints about it, aside from it felt like it had slight reduction in magnification (less than x1). I found the SLx1 on sale for $200 at an Optics Place, so I figured I'd try it out too. My assumption is I'd keep both. I got the SLx1 today and immediately could feel the difference in size/weight, even though it is not much. What blew me away is that the clarity of the SLx1 is WAY BETTER. It is a true x1 and confirmed that the GLx1 feels like a 0.9x, it actually makes everything smaller. The one thing the GLx does better than SLx is eye relief: The GLx really is nearly indefinite whereas the SLx like to be close to your eye. Not a problem for me. I also noticed the SLx is better for keeping both eyes open, the GLx was too bulky and caused my eyes to fight (likely also from the strange anti-magnification). So to spend $130 less and get a better product...I am actually sending back the GLx1 and probably getting another SLx1 or maybe the SLx3 magnifier. Also the GLx1 did NOT come with caps, but the SLx1 came with a bikini cover. Otherwise the contents of the boxes were the same.

Durable and functional. Mount has 2 screws, the green is daylight bright and clarity is crystal clear. The prism is almost like looking through a binoculars effect, but with aging eyes/ or a stigmatism the redical is etched clean. There is pro & con but once you get to where your using you will appreciate. If your battery is gone this allows you to see. Value for what you pay for. If you put a magnifier behind it you will need to adjust the eye adjustments but can find a happy medium. Not like a red dot. Prism is different.

I have astigmatism and this is soMuch better for me than most red dots. I’m buying another one. You can also use it 1 inch from your eye or 12 inches still clear and usable. I love it.

I just got one of these optics and I'm seriously impressed. The glass is crystal clear, way better than I expected at this price point. It even came with eight different mounting options right in the box. This thing is built like a tank, feels super solid. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the market.
