They are great for use on types of equipment where parts may need to be frequently changed out (cymbals on drum kits for example). Another common use is fixtures at trade shows that need to be set up and taken apart quickly and frequently.

My new drill press utilizes a bolt-on vice, BUT I grew very tired of constantly needing TWO wrenches to loosen and re-tighten the bolts and nuts EVERY time I needed to shift the vice’s position.SO, I decided to order some NEW bolts, flat washers, lock washers (“split washers”), and these awesome, stainless steel WING NUTS, so that I could just use my fingers to accomplish the task. They arrived in a clear plastic bag, but that’s not why you’re buying them — take ‘em out and put ‘em to use!LOVE them! … and I bet you will, too.
