Works well. We were not able to locate this type of handle at any hardware or big box store. It’s exactly what we were looking for to replace our loose one.

This was a replacement for one I had that didn’t latch. It was so easy to install. I am not the handiest of people. It didn’t take and odd tools to install.

This is an exact match to the hole spacing in my slider where the previous handle stripped out. It comes with two sets of screws of different lengths. In my case for the best fit I had to shorten the long ones by about 1/8", easy to do with with a bolt cutter or a hacksaw (clean up the threads afterwards). It also looks better than the previous handle. Note that this handle is designed to lock over a lip on the existing aluminum extruded door jamb. For this reason it doesn't come with a separate piece for the latch to lock onto. Some reviewers complained that this piece is missing, but that's because it's not designed to work that way.

Gave this patio door handle a 3 star because screws are cheap and break easily end of screw got stuck in handle part and I couldn't get it out so I had to use old outside handle with the new locking part of handle. Make sure you KEEP the old screws because they are alot more sturdy than the ones that come with it. So 3 stars because I paid for a new handle and only get to use 1/2 of it. Hopefully the locking part of handle last a few years.. all in all they just don't make things like they used to, makes me mad that everything is so cheaply made now days. ALL ABOUT THE BUCK not made to last.

We have a sliding door that is over 35 years old. Time and Time again we fixed the broken lock. This time we decided to try a find a lock that would fit on our very old patio door. I have tried several times to find a replacement and had to send several back. Our door doesn't have a lock but a gripper bar that grabs a lip of metal on the opposite site of the door jam. This locked seem to be the one and is was. Easy to install with only 2 screws. The holes were exactly in the same space as our original lock. It is study and holds well. I almost think I should purchase a back up "just in case" but this lock looks like it will last for many years.

Happy with this handle and the quality of it. My reason for only 3 stars is that it took 3 weeks to find out it was lost in the mail. Amazon sent me a replacement that took a week to receive. Once receiving it, I noticed there is no piece to mount for the lock to grab onto. All other products came with this missing piece. So now I have to try and fabricate a locking piece to mount.

This product is absolute garbage! Installed it they don’t tap the holes deep enough so one set of screws were too long and I broke off a head, and the other set were too short. Once I got this screwed together the lock was not deep enough to actually lock the slider. Nothing was right about this project. Someone at the company should be fired for this debacle! Returned it!
