One of our giant Alaskan malamutes, (she is 185 pounds), has re-occurring urinary tract infections, that we were battling for years. Our vet was becoming concerned, as she was going on and off antibiotics, and the problem was just not being resolved.. our vet recommended this product, and so far, we have not had a single re-occurrence to date! I couldn’t be more pleased! Our vet swears by this particular brand,,, love it!

I like giving this to my dog to promote a healthy urinary system and to help in preventing him from developing kidney and bladder stones. I originally got prescribed this product from my vet, but am buying it on Amazon now because it is more convenient and the price is better. If the price wasn't better than at the vet I would continue to buy it from my vet. When I first received my bottle from Amazon before giving it to my dog, I first used myself as a 'tester' instead of giving it immediately directly to my dog. I personally tasted and consumed one of each of the pills both from my vet and also this one from Amazon. I compared the taste of both they seemed pretty much the same, except the one from Amazon might have been just a touch sweeter which was probably due to the fact that the one I had just purchased from Amazon is newer/fresher. The color also was very close to the ones purchased directly from the vet. Both were a pale purple-pinkish sort of color. The smell of both were exactly the same. Neither my or my dog have gotten sick and his urine tests during his check ups have come back healthy with no sign of 'crystals' in the urine, which is a warning sign of stones forming. My dog previously had crystals in before being on this product for the past year.

My dog was getting UTI’s every 2-3 weeks due to itching down there from allergies (the constant allergies where he needs a shot every few weeks). Poor pup was peeing blood, straining, having accidents and I was spending a ton of money at the vet for antibiotics and UTI tests, etc. I bought these chews for him and HE HAS NOT HAD A UTI SINCE. These also last a long time, especially for smaller dogs because you cut the tablets in half. (He is 30-35lbs).

These were recommended by our vet for our 12 1/2 year old Lab who recently starting having chronic UTIs. She seems to like them - takes them easily. She has only been on them for about 15 days. I will continue to update this review as time passes to note how well they are working for her.~~~~~~Updated 10/22/2014~~~~~~~My dog still likes these pills - they are the only ones she will take without me having to hide them in a treat pocket. As far as how well they work - I'd like to say they do, but I'm not 100% sure they do. We continue to use them as our vet recommends them but our dog recently started having crystals in her urine again. It's been a longer period of time since the last time she had anything wrong so I think it helped there. I'll continue to use these and will continue to order from Amazon as they are about 1/2 the price my vet charges.

Recently, my vet gave me this for my 2 cats, and with the amount they gave, and for how long they'd need to be on it (forever), I thought it would be cheaper if I could buy it on my own. I asked my questions on here, and ordered. I am very happy that this is the same pill, in color it matches identical, it's a brownish/purplish color. I cut them in 4's just like the vet did, and I crush 1/4 in each of their dishes and mix with a little bit of water, and then add their 'supper' wet food. I think one of them really enjoys it in his food, the other doesn't care, he just loves food.I have noticed a change in both of them, since using this regularly, I wasn't before because the prescription was going to run out and I didn't want to have to buy more from them... but since I got this container, I cut 15 tablets and got a months worth of pills, and I have plenty more to go. So now I am helping my boys, feel better, and saving money too!
