I like that it’s adjustable for out of level machines. It’s a little fidgety to calibrate, but that’s a one time deal if you’re only using it on one machine…or maybe you’re one of those weird people that actually have level machines?lolOnce it’s calibrated it works great. It’s maybe a bit of an unnecessary gadget to some and it’s fairly pricy but I used it once on a boring bar that I was fighting with a bit and it worked first try so it’s got a spot in my shop.

Well boys and girls .... It's defiantly NOT plastic cheap ... This IS a high quality tool ! The only way to make this better is to change to a digital level and put it in a Starrett type case. .... AND ... The tool showed up with their catalog of their other tools ... I'm so impressed that I just finished putting nearly every tool on my wish list !

Once you find center on your work with a turning tool, you can then calibrate the Edge tool bubble to center. Seems to work good if you constantly changing tools (boring bars, parting tools, etc.). Once you have your tool holder set up, it really saves alot of time.

Other reviewers have commented that it is difficult to adjust the level because it rotates when you tighten the screw. Start by getting the level position close to where it belongs, then snug up the attachment screw. Use a small screwdriver placed between the level housing and the main body to gently pry (rotate) the level to exactly where you want it. Then fully tighten the screw. Since the screw was already snug, the level doesn't rotate out of position. I think this design is fairly brillant.
