Replaced my son’s stock trans in his brushed Traxxas Rustler with this unit and it definitely increased the durability of the drivetrain. Recommend replacing the plastic axles with steal axles.

Wanted this transmission for a long time, and finally ordered it.Didnt put it on for about a month after purchasing bc I was injured. Finally Put it on my rustler vxl and ever since it hops bad when taking off, I tried changing spur/pinion gear ratios and that didn’t help. Tried multiple batteries, 2 esc, 2 motors, but no help..I believe the internal gears have a rough spot, or aren’t perfectly round so I was goin to return it. BUT i was outta time to return it since I didn’t put it on my car right away. Maybe I just got a faulty one, BUT when I spend $100, I have higher expectations. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED because I’ve heard good things about this transmission, BUT I cannot recommend purchasing this 272r because of my personal experience.. I now have $100 trans that needs torn apart and examined to find the problem. Bought this because I didn’t want to tear anything apart. I’ve got a bad back so sometimes wrenching on my rcs becomes too much for me, so for now I’m stuck with a car that hops around at take off. I’ve had Traxxas cars since 2012, and have nvr felt so ripped off. Just know if u buy this, u may have to tear it apart right away.. and if u buy it, don’t wait to put it on ur car like I did(cause I assumed it would work properly) or u won’t be able to get ur money back. Some people have said this thing is bulletproof, BUT mine is just a total letdown. Hope this helps give information for future buyers

The 272R magnum is a must for any Traxxas 2wd running the standard 272 transmission.Having to remove and replace the differential without splitting the case is the best part. For track use one can have a couple diffs with different fluid wt. in it for easy change outs

272r transmission is in factory box and sealed. Delivery was way faster than expected. Very pleased with this company and product.

Much beefier than the stock part. Bolted right in and its been holding up great with new brushless and lipo setup! Stout part!!!
