If you are buying to replace existing door knobs, just a heads up.. the hole patterns may not match.. it'll be pretty close.. but you might have to drill/chisel out the edges of the door hole (two places) to accept a wider screw hole pattern. You'll also likely have to chisel out the hole for more depth to accept the new lock cylinder (longer)..You WON'T need to make the actual hole in the door bigger (that standard size hasn't seemed to have changed)You could drill out the edges (two places) of the door hole a few millimeters wider to allow the screws to pass through..(which I did .. and it worked) .. however, in retrospect you can probably just file it out using a coarse round rasp file (about a 1/4" dia.).. you'll need a chisel as well (to fit the lock cylinder.. if longer)My door hardware was pretty old.. from the 1970's.. the standard hole pattern might've changed a long time ago, and your existing hole patterns could match the new Probico.. and you'll have no problems.So.. I'd recommend you measure your existing Door hole diameter and see if it will fit the screw hole pattern width of a new Probico door knob.. if it is wide enough no problems! .. If it is smaller, you'll have to do a bit of modifications to the existing door hole.. but nothing major.The issue does not apply to Dummy-type door knobs (like closet doors)Once installed.. the door knobs look great!Good luck!

Comes with all the bells and whistles to install the doorknob on a ready to hang door. Knobs are smooth, easy to use, easy to install, fingerprint resistant and close well. Locking mech is easy to use and unlock/ lock.

We had many old door knobs and decided to replace them throughout the house. We chose the Probrico door knobs for attractiveness and cost and we are not disappointed. They are now installed and work perfectly. However, installation can be tricky and patience is required - especially for the alignment of the bolts to secure the internal and external sections of the door knob. Another issue is the orientation of the locking bar. The instructions suggest it should be vertical but some units only seem to operate correctly if the locking bar was horizontal (also they can out of the box like that!)Nevertheless, this issue does not seem to affect the operation of the locking/unlocking mechanisms in that both vertical and horizontal orientations function perfectly.We have satisfied our criteria as they are certainly very reasonably priced and good to look at. Recommended

Ok, so I was wanting to replace my bronze door knobs that lock with silver door knobs that lock so, of course I went on Amazon! Well, these door knobs looked amazing for the cost but had a better locking mechanism then my previous ones so let me get into the pro’s and con’s:Pro’s -1. The price is amazing for 6 door knobs.2. It comes with all the parts necessary.3. It’s silver and seems durable as of now — haven’t tested the longevity of the product.4. It has a locking mechanism that can be undone via a coin or flathead screwdriver in case a child locks themselves inside of a room!Cons:1. Difficult to put together — I don’t know if it is just me or if it’s for everyone but when I was installing these 6 door knobs I always ran into the same problem — the door knob not locking at all and not turning correctly as well as making the screws fit in to the other side of the door handle.2. If you have a circular cut out for the latch of the door for your house -/ you’ll need to cut it out to make it square as the pieces are square.3. The screws are behind the door knob so it is hard to screw in.Other than that once you get past the hard job of putting it in and figuring how to fix the no locking of the door — what I found out was to keep test the lock and the knob as putting together and Pre installing the screws into the other side with space between both of them to call for an easier install.

I read a lot of reviews stating how difficult it was to install these knobs. Personally, I did not even look at the instructions. If you have ever installed/replaced door knobs before, you would have no problem installing these. It's not rocket science. My only tip would be not to screw the final 2 screw in too tightly, otherwise the knob will not turn smoothly. If you find it "sticking" when turning, loosen the screws a bit.These definitely are not high quality door knobs like Schlage, etc. However, for the price they are great! I installed all 6 of these on one of my rental properties.
