This worked well with my 14yo fireplace. I recommend taking a picture of the position of the thermocouple before removing it. When I reinstalled mine, I had set it too low in the holder. It was easily remedied but if I had taken a picture or the original thermocouple with my phone, I would not have needed to mess with it again.

Worked perfectly. it appeared to have the same milivolt output as the original but, I could not think of any other possible reason for the flame failure operating so I replaced with this item. perfect.
