The weight of the net is what helps to slow the arrows Field Points are recommended for use with these Backstop Nets Please refrain from using Broadheads as these are most likely to pierce the net For ‘have a go’ sessions, Backstop Netting is a strong requirement as stated in the GNAS Code of Practice (barring a safe over-shoot space – minimum 50 yards) Archery Backstop Netting is NOT guaranteed to stop all variety of arrows from Recurve, Compound, Traditional or Crossbows Archery Backstop Netting’s primary purpose is to be utilised as an additional safety screen, whilst also speeding up arrow retrieval

A little costly but does exactly what it promises. Stops the arrows in their tracks.

Used at the Pennsylvania Bowhunters Festival. Taken 1000s of hits from all sorts of bows, not crossbows, and held up.

This is a great safety backstop for your target. It will pay for itself with the number of lost arrows you will save.

So it works to look cool and give people false confidence. Otherwise it doesn’t stop any arrows, in fact I wanted to show the kids that it was safe and sent an $18 arrow through the thing from about 50 ft away. I ended up finding the only rock with my arrow in over 80 feet of our target and busted the arrow. Most of the day my son and his 3 friends played retrieve the arrows they missed with where there was an incident that almost caused someone to get hit with an arrow. Best birthday present ever, don’t worry I ended up just buying bays of hay to make a hay bail wall, which is why I bought this to avoid that wall… Screw the people who made this and sold this crap product, I can continue to be in trouble with the wife, have the ugly hay wall in my back yard, and continue to spend money on netting products that don’t work. We have 12 lost arrows of my son’s and about 15 more just hanging out somewhere on our property. If you want something that can stop any arrow from a bow, any bow (my son’s bow only goes to 80lb pull back max and sadly he’s not there yet), this is not the right product.

I host 4H archery and find the backstop outstanding for any of the kids. I've tested it with my bow 50 lbs. compound @ 20 yards, arrows flew right through. Then again at 40 yards arrow did go through but dropped just past it.All in all great product and recommend it for kids range. The rest of us - well we need to hit the target. LOL.See picture attachedDarrinRoblee, Livermore, Ca.

Very nice product. I ordered the 6'x6' which weighs about 10lbs or so, and I was able to hang it up in the basement with a shower tension rod. There are 3 small grommets on all sides which is still big enough for me to put shower rings through them. I used a little grip tape on the shower rings to keep the net steady on the rod. This thing is designed for field points and stops them best, so don't use anything else (especially not broadheads). Also very important, DO NOT taut this net. It's meant to be loose to absorb the energy of the arrow. That was my mistaken when I first got the net, and I shot a blunt bludgeon broadhead right through the net and into my wall....I'm shooting a 50lbs recurve and a 55lbs compound bow at this net from 4 yards away and haven't had any issues since.
