I bought this item for an event. I have never played and only played horseshoes for the first time Saturday and didn't even get through the game before the horseshoe broke into two pieces. I was really surprised as the horseshoes seemed like they would be more sturdy, they were metal and of good weight. I did have the 2nd set in my car and I didn't bring because I would have never imagined that they would break. I parked too far away to get the 2nd set and if I left the tournament to go back to my car I would have had to forfeit, luckily one of the guys in the tournament brought a 2nd set so I used his.

We live in Hawaii, and I thought this would be the perfect gift for my friend's husband. When I handed him the wrapped gift he almost dropped it as so heavy. He could not guess what it was until he pulled out a horseshoe. It was his favorite gift this year!

Very nice the horseshoes are very sturdy and strong and the steel steaks are very strong can’t wait to try out this summer but all in all it is exactly what we expected I recommend it

Purchased these shoes late May/18 and one broke in half after the 3rd game. This set is diffidently not a Professional horseshoe set. I purchased them thinking that they were steel as was indicated but they were nothing but cheap Cast Iron.Very disappointed! Done with Amazon.Dave ParsonsDrayton, ONT.

The horseshoes are heavy and durable. For our lawn we needed a hammer to insert the stakes into the ground. Should last a long time.

Bought this set as a gift. They seem to be great quality, and the travel case is really nice. They shipped on time and undamaged. I rated 4 stars instead of 5 because one of the silver horseshoes arrived with some black scuffs that won’t wipe off, and I found that I had to trim the excess Velcro holding the horseshoes in the carrying case because it was too long when secured tightly and got in the way of the zipper.

Shipped fast! Great quality horseshoes. The holding scraps inside of the case were torn, but a litte thread fixed it in about 5 minutes.

The horseshoes are great. They are comfortable to hold in hand, feel like the right weight, and appear to be of quality steel. The only problem is, they sent me 4 identical horseshoes. All 4 are painted black, and all 4 are imprinted with the letter A. This of course makes them unusable in an actual game where each player throws 2 shoes. This is nothing that a can of spray paint can't fix, but this is a pretty bad screw up at the factory where it was packaged. It probably isn't worth the hassle to return them, but definitely cost them a few stars on this rating.The pegs are also very nice and solid, but I would have liked them to be a bit longer. Overall a very good set for the price, but I wish they would have sent me the correct contents.
