Gauge was seemingly working but after only 4 weeks in (just after Amazon 30 day return window) all flow stopped and was not able to restart. This happened during a sudden cold onset and after spending 1/2 hour- back and forth inside/ outside trying to resolve- finally removed the gauge and was able to get heat online again.Customer service attempted to resolve the issue (there are no instructions related to hand pumping gauge portion to recharge after a 'stop' occurs) but I had already learned of that resolve online in another customer complaint forum.Supplier is supposedly sending another one (was on Feb 17th- nothing as of yet on March 6th) but is a waste of resources to use this product in my opinion simply due to gas flow stop issues and prefer a refund for these reasons. Also the gauge portion has humidity inside- not sure if this affects operation. Will update review when resolved.UPDATE:GasStop contacted me today indicating will ship a new unit through Amazon today.

Unfortunately this product is being sold advertising pol fitting. As most people understand gas needs to come in and to get out. Pol fitting is only on the outlet, the inlet has a weird fitting that certainly not is being used in Sweden. There has to be two pol fittings on this valve . So I paid for a product that is made of good quality brass but is absolutely useless to me. Do not trust the product information this seller provides.

If you have an RV or Motorhome and drive with the Propane on to keep the fridge cold ect then you really need to have one of these installed for the added safety it provides. Great product.

Easy to fit and use. Indicates slow leaks and peace of mind so can leave gas valve open in motion. No more getting out in the rain to the gas locker for a cup of tea.

Great idea, too bad it doesn’t work. It triggers turning off the propane when is should not and for no apparent reason. It triggers almost always when the RV is going down the road. Very disappointed

Excellent product should be included with every RV purchase. Easily shows leaks. Without this emergency shutoff feature LP gas would fill a RV quickly if a leak was to occur at the appliance. Better to eliminate that possibility. Highly recommend this for every RV.

Installed in Nov.Along with new Flame King 2 stage regulator I replaced the old ASV with this one. Didnt replace the plastic cap because I wanted to leak test. The Gasstop doesn't work like my old ASV that looked like an airline strainer. The gasstop ASV doesn't auto shut off for low volume leaks. When couldn't figure out why it was shutting off when I used the range while the furnace was in operation on my Class A. I had a pinhole leak I found with the leak detector solution, and it came from outlet side of the POL connection.I sprayed leak detector to find it, as it works much better than soapy water. Most dish soap is salt based not glycerin or acid based nowadays so just get some leak detector for a few bucks if you are going to install this.I loosened the connection until it shut off and it took quite a bit of leak flow to trigger. The tolerance on this valve is good, but the ORing on the pol connector is not. It is viton but should be a mil thicker. it took more than 1/4 turn past hand tight to stop the leak.Im probably going to reinstall the whole head with PTFE paste instead of gas tape because I don't trust the oring under vibration. It's also worth it to build up a rubber base for the regulator which I haven't done yet, and remember the POL connectors are reverse thread!

We RVers love our propane. That tank of LPG (liquified Petroleum Gas) that is attached to the front of our trailer or installed under our motorhome provides the energy to cook our meals, heat our water, cool our refrigerator, and fire our furnace. Life on the road wouldn’t be the same without it. But propane can be dangerous too. So, we have a propane detector inside to check for leaks and we replace it every five years as required to be sure that we are able to be notified of a problem. But what about those other, unexpected mishaps that can put us in danger. An accident or chewing rodent can sever the rubber hose that connects our tank to the inside propane plumbing and our appliances. If that were to happen, most modern tanks would stop 80% of the leakage. But that other 20% is enough to explode and burn down the RV within minutes. That’s where the GasStop takes over. Installed between the tank’s output valve and the rest of our system, the GasStop will immediately halt ALL propane from escaping into the air. The GasStop is both low cost and easy to install. A careful camper who reads the clear instructions can do it alone. No need for professional installation. Once a severe leakage triggers the GasStop and it works to save our life and property we say a silent “Thank You” to the inventor and head to our favorite RV shop to repair the damage. Once fixed, we just push down on the dial of the GasStop four times to reset it to allow the propane to flow freely again.Ok, so now we have the GasStop protecting us from severe leakage and destruction. But what about a small, slow leak? Well, the GasStop isn’t designed to shut off the flow for slow, less catastrophic leaks. But it can detect them and inform you when you have a small amount of propane escaping anywhere throughout your entire system. Before GasStop these small leaks could only be detected by certified professionals using specialized equipment. Here’s how it works. First shut off the main valve at your tank and notice the location of the pointer on the GasStop that tells you the amount of propane remaining in the tank. Wait a few minutes and look again at the GasStop dial. If the needle has moved down to a lower reading it indicates that gas is leaking somewhere in your system. The time it takes for the needle to reach empty indicates the degree of leakage. A fast drop, say within ten minutes means that you need to get this resolved at once. A slower drop means it is a smaller leak. Now, no matter if its fast or slow shut off the main valve on the tank and open windows to air out the RV. It’s best to let the professionals take it from here to find and fix the leak. Any propane leak is unacceptable and is asking for serious trouble. Now that you have the facts about Gas Stop let me assure you that it works as advertised. I installed one on my motorhome and purposely disconnected the regulator to cause a large leak. Wham… the GasStop snapped into action and stopped the propane in less than a second. Next, I tried the small leak test and to my surprise, I had one. Being a bit handy and very careful around propane, I did a little of my own checking. After turning off the main tank valve I removed the GasStop, pointed my phone camera into the tank valve opening and took a photo. The image showed a small black foreign object caught in the threads of the valve opening. It turned out to be a piece of rubber gasket left behind when I had replaced my regulator a few weeks back. So, I removed it and cleaned the area with some alcohol on a cotton swab. After reconnecting the Gas Stop, I tried the slow leak test again. This time the needle stayed put. It never moved. Now I have the peace of mind that not only am I protected from severe leakage events, but also that my entire propane system is tight and leak free. So, for my advice I refer you to the heading. Buy it… It could save your life. In fact, I love it so much that I got one of the other GasStop models for my 20 pound tank that feeds my outside grill.
