The description says 60% cotton and 40% poly but in the spec's it says 65% poly and 35% cotton. Not a huge deal I have others like and like them just not what I wanted... KEEP AN EYE ON THE SPECS NOT THE DESCRIPTION!

I've had in the past the same design pants only 100%cotton.The pants are great, functional and durable.Wish they would keep doing 100%cotton.

The US Military has updated their standard issue clothing many times since, but for the price, you really can't go wrong with these guys. They are reinforced everywhere you could possibly need them to be, with bartacking (little horizontal strip of stitching to strengthen stress points) where it's needed, extra layer on the knees and butt, the ripstop material lives up to its name, and the 65/35 poly/cotton split = soften with age, but wear like iron.I personally use them for general outdoor stuff, cycling in particular. Purpose built bike pants tend to be $80+, these things are less than half that, and will outlast everything else.

Aside from these being the perfect mix of causual, comfort, and sporty, they are worthy of the pice tag (assuming it's not ATACS or Multicam). That being said, I'm 6 foot & 260. To help compare sizing, I wear Old Navy's classic kahkis to work in a size 38x34 (or 38x32), and these fit a tad snug at the waste but length is dead-on.I'll be buying one in each -minus the ATACS, and I already have them in my Multicam rig.NOTE: these are different than the "combat bdu's" (not like the combat 65/35 bdu's for sale by OpticsPlanet -which are more hardcore and pricey than I need). Just FYI
