These stirrups are stainless steel. So they do have sufficient weight to them. Not lightweight as described. I feel the angle gives a bit more room to escape in a bad fall situation.

Good heavyweight stirrups and are a good safety feature. I had a hard time finding these in stainless steel (rather than nickel-plated) and am glad I found these.
