Shelves are sturdy and fit well in the cat condos that are meant for. Easy to clean with disinfectant and cleaner and easy to wipe off. Would prefer them to be cheaper as I can almost buy a brand new cap playpen for the price of the 3 shelves.

Bought to replace plastic shelves from same company that were back-ordered; decided to try this slightly less expensive choice. Have used them for only a few weeks, but they seem much more sturdy than what we had before. I like the vinyl covered metal hooks instead of the molded plastic - seems like they will be far less likely to break or fail. Because they are wider than what they replaced. there are less options for placement in the cat condo (cage), but that isn't a problem, in my view. Plus, the wider shelf gives the cats more space at that level. Will buy again.

The dinky little shelves in the playpens are not enough if you need to confine a cat or two for more than several hours at a time, but these took care of that problem. I added a second shelf to the middle one in my playpens to double the width and accommodate either feeding bowls or a big place to let a cat s-t-r-e-t-c-h out! These are a lot more substantial than the ones provided, too, so in some cases I replaced an original shelf with one of these as I added an extra shelf. (That's for the 20+ pound fellas!) All the cats love the playpens since I made that small change.

Waste of money. Bad design. No thought was put into this. Would be useful if they went across the back of the condo away from the doors for the length of the condo rather than the width going across. The narrow platforms that come with the condos are very slippery for cats and you can't easily put fabric on without using velcro to hold. These large platforms are moderately wider than the platforms that come with a condo. But the only places you can attach these is in the center b/c the doors of the condo are too wide.You can only use one at a time unless you want to create two separate stories. The point of getting a condo is for cats to play and exercise while in short term confinement. We ONLY use condos at adoption events, for quarantine while treating illness, to keep kittens safe at night while sleep training and for moms with litters.You can go to Home Depot or wood supply store and have a custom plywood platform cut with large holes for cats to jump through and secure with drilled holes/ zip ties. Then you will have a good surface for cats to sleep and play that is away from the litter box.

Out cat is an "in-door" cat who can now enjoy being outside with his new Cat Cage! He loves climbing onto the different platforms and with the set up it's always easy to give him good or treats as well!We're going to be driving a long way soon and fortunately have enough room for his Cat Cargo and will be much happier than just being in a small car carrier!

The platforms did not fit to create a platform to divide the cat playpen into 2 separate spaces. They kept popping off. I used one as an additional shelf on an upper level, rendering one of the upper doors inoperable, as that is the only place where it would fasten withoout popping off. I used the other 2 together in a large dog wire cage to create a shelf for a 2nd level for kittens. These did not serve the original purpose for which they were purchased but are useful in the manners in which I am using them.
