The jag is a great complement to the cleaning brush. The brush loosens any powder deposits and the jag (with a patch attached) finishes the job.

Never used a Jag before I'm kinda of old school when it comes to gun cleaning. Learned everything from my Grandpa back in the mid-20th century..and of course on old guns..My grandpa and my dad were raised in northern Minn. end of 19th and early 20th century where you had to hunt to eat..I didn't have to and still don't hunt but still shoot..ENOUGH ALREADY. I saw videos on experts using Jags when cleaning..So when I got my semi-auto shotgun for skeet I thought I'd try a different and more modern way of cleaning. So I purchased a bore snake and this Jag.. The jag works great and a little less hassle than threading the needle. It covers the bore all at once very nice..I will definitely purchase more Jags for my other rifles.
