These are nice cases if they fit your instrument. I tested it with a King Master and a Conn 80A. These cornets push the length of the case as far as it goes but they seem okay. They won't be rattling around in there...but there's not much padding at either end. (If you had a short cornet in there, the bell would fit into the same slot and have the same light padding, but the bow end would be wedged in with the removable squishy pad. I don't know what's better. Depends on what horrible thing happens to it I guess.)My King Master Model was built in 1938 (or '39 or '40) and it fits very snugly. It does go in, and it won't move once you get it in there. You have to stick the bell in first and wiggle it into position. The padding will probably soften a bit over time and make it easier to get that fat bottom wrap in.Similar bell-to-bow tight fit with a 1950s Conn 80A. The 80A fits a little better and slides in without having to shimmy anything. So anyway, these hard-to-fit cornets do fit but it's tight.

Bought this case in early February ‘23 for my Getzen Eterna 880 with a concern for the fit. The 880 is an oddly configured instrument making it taller than other cornets. Happily, my horn fits nicely. I hope to own an American long bell at some point. According to the dimensions given in the specs on several I’ve viewed, they will also fit into this case. I wanted to use it for several week s before submitting a review. The two mouthpiece holders help as I use an everyday mouthpiece and a back-up. What appear as pen loops in the zippered side pocket hold the back-up mouthpieces for my trumpet and flugelhorn.I like the fact that the case can be carried (and set down) in either the horizontal or vertical position. Grab handles and feet accommodate both configurations. What about protection? As a geezer who’s always worked for a living, I’ve learned to treat things carefully. It’s been almost six decades since I’ve bounced around on a school bus or played “bash the cases” with my buddies. The outward appearance of the Protec disguises the fact that there’s a substantial hard shell beneath the fabric. It could probably withstand more than a little abuse. For me, the protection is more than adequate.Overall, I’m quite pleased with this case. I believe it will serve well for as long as I need it to serve.

Light weight is a bonus. shoulder strap helpful. Full zipper closure very welcome necessity.

It's a solid Protect case, just like I've come to expect. I've purchased a few as gifts and own three myself. The cornet case holds one cornet, two mouthpieces, and that's it. There's very little room for anything else in the case. No room for a mute, nor was I expecting any extra room or features. It does fit easily into the overhead on an airline, and it would fit under the seat, too.

For the price, this is a great case and is perfect for everyday use. There is no room for extras such as music or mutes, but it work great securely protecting a horn. My horn goes from my "studio" to the car to the practice or concert venue and back again and this case is just fine for that kind of travel. The only thing better would be a solid wood or aluminum road case.

Finally had to ditch my original Olds Ambassador case after rescuing it from my mother's garage....restored the horn itself but needed a solid new case. Love the extra pockets and the wooded internal framing does an admirable job of prividing protective structure. Also got a ProTec flute case for my daughter to wrap around the old original wooden case...ProTec cases are worth the extra money over the no-name brands if you want something that actually stands a chance against a Jr. High band.
