I’m a bedside nurse and I’m on my feet for up to 12-15 hrs per shift. This thing really works! This compression device immediately took my post shift pain from an eight to a zero the very first shift I wore it. I was shocked! I highly recommend if you’re having that shin and ankle type of pain.

Doesn’t work to my expectations - tended to slip and loose compression

no matter what you do, in any position, or any attempt, they cannot be wrapped tight enough so that even the slightest movement won't knock them off. I wear them under sweatpants and EVERY time the simple act of putting on the sweatpants knock them around. Im sure when summer arrives and I don't wear the sweatpants, a simple breeze will knock them off. I think it's the fact that there are two velcro latches instead of just one. Poor design makes one latch always looser when it's affixed. Bummer, because I love the idea of the foam piece on the shin splint (although one of the foam pieces lost its stitching right away and i have to glue it back together after nearly every workout. Update: Foam has been remove because it was deteriorating and Velcro completely nonfunctional now. Basically, this is now a towel!

Purchased to help alleviate shinsplints for my teen son. Brace stays put and was relatively comfortable through a few tough, sweaty lacrosse practices. As for its efficacy, here's what he had to say: "If I'm having a flare-up, the padded area along the inside of my shin really helps. But if it isn't hurting that much to begin with, it is really uncomfortable - it actually makes it hurt more." So my non-medical professional opinion is that this is a good shinsplint "treatment" option, but not a longer-term preventative measure.

I have to be honest... I was suffering from horrible, painful shinsplint during my running for a few months now and I was very skeptical about anything helping support the pain. I've followed recommended medical advice, rest for a few weeks, replace shoes, iced, and as soon as I started running again the pain was back. Once I was searching for something else to provide support when I ran into this miracle product. I've been rutinely wearing Pro Tec compression wrap for the past few weeks and I'm very happy with the results. It's easy to use, comfortable, easy to adjust, doesn't slide from position and most of all pain is gone. I recommend it to everyone.

God Bless these wraps, my shins splints were so bad that out of my 60 minute ball hockey game i could only play for maybe 20 minutes before my shin splints would kick in and kick in BAD. The pain would leave me in discomfort for usually 24-48 hrs. Baseball was worse my shins couldnt handle the impact of running in cleats.I bought these hoping for the best and boy was i not disappointed. I can play hockey now for as long as i want (even on back to back days) and baseball is a breeze with these on. You might still be hurting the next day but the recovery is also alot faster i find.If it were not for these wraps i probably would have had to stop playing those sports

It's fine, as advertised, makes a snug fit with my shin. Was a bit difficult to keep it from sliding down at first, but wrapping it up extra tight and raising the sock to be directly below it helped. After a while your shin gets sweaty and that helps keep it in place. The only issue is this didn't really help my shin splints. The first few times I ran, the pain seemed to be not as bad as usual, although it may have just been the placebo effect. The last time I ran (just a couple of miles on a stadium track), the pain was worse, so I haven't run since. Maybe this helps prevent shin splints, but it doesn't seem to make them better if you already have them (at least in my case).

I am a Police Academy cadet and have to do a lot of running, sprinting, and tactical training. I developed shin splints about a month into my year long program, and they were severe (I'm now going into my fourth month). In fact my doctor did not want me running at all for one month, but because that was not an option without being kicked out of the academy, Compression wraps that worked well were my only option. So I ordered these, I had them over nighted, which actually took more than one night. But the product is great, I couldn't think of any way to make them better, plus they are easy to change out of and into quickly, since we get seven minutes to take a (mandatory) shower, and change into our uniform from our training gear and be ready for inspection. They are a very supportive product and the compression splint (inside the front of the wraps) that lies on top of the main muscle in the lower leg really helps to prevent further injury while helping to heal the separated muscle, while running. They don't slide down, in my experience, as some have said. There is only one in the package so if you need two, order two.Great product!! I would recommend them to a friend in a second.

I bought this product thinking it would help with my shin splints when I ran. I wore it and for the first ten minutes it was tolerable, but then my leg started to hurt. I had to take it off. I loosened it, thinking it was too tight, still didn't feel right. It works better for during recovery periods (after running), but not during the run. Sad because I was looking for something to help with my shin splints during the run.
