this soft helmet fits snuggly but not tight! It feels like a watch cap that is made out of neopren, so it hugs your head. This is a good thing as you don't want it sliding around and blinding you in the middle of gameplay. The chinstrap is long enough to secure without choking you, which again is a good thing. The helmet has strategically placed vents all over that provides good temperature regulation while still maximizing cushioning and helmet integrity. If your someone who likes playing contact sports but want to be able to remember that you played the sport, this helmet will do a good job of limiting (note I said limiting not eliminating) concussive blows.

The individual cushioning blocks in a tread-like design allows for a more comfortable contour fit. The helmet has Velcro straps for fitting a range of head circumferences. The helmet can be separated to expand its circumference in the rear to accommodate larger head sizes. Unfortunately, the area underneath the Velcro straps when separated for larger head circumference ranges lack any cushioning block, leaving the head unprotected. Any activity or sports that can result in a fall or trauma to the rear of the head would circumvent the protection offered by this helmet. While this helmet fits snuggly and offers very large surface area coverage and is mostly good for sports, it would not be comfortable to wear for extended duration or in warmer weather.

I am reviewing: Protective Soft Shell Flag Football Helmet 7V7 Rugby Soccer EVA Foam Guardian Cap Head Protection Padded Headgear for Youth Kids AdultsThis headgear is the most comfortable of several we have tried. It fits snugly but not too tight. The two flaps in the back can be adjusted for comfort. The circular top is the least adjustable part. The padding is very firm, but should be very effective in a fall. The spaces between the pad pieces could be failure points, but there would still be a layer of strength, hopefully enough to stop a corner from puncturing the head. The openings on top provide ventilation. The ear holes allow for decreased, but at least some hearing. The chin strap is wide and not uncomfortable. It has plenty of adjustment space. The helmet covers an adequate area to prevent most head injury.I am using this for my elderly loved one, to protect from injury during a fall.
