Upgraded a budget bike with this crank arm set. So far so good without any issues. Much lighter than the original crank arm that came with the bike. No issues with adding new pedals, but just be careful not to cross thread pedals since it's made from aluminum.

I am changing my cattrike over to a 1x9, I don’t use the top two chainrings, besides I got a rear hub motor if the hills get too nasty. Going with a 32 tooth chain ring and 11-34 cassette on the rear should work good Will know better come springtime snow has started here in eastern part of Alberta so don’t think I’ll be going out

These are made well and are going to work great for an old 90's road bike build to match up with square taper bottom bracket. They are actually a double ring set up if wanted as it has chainring bolt placement on inside for smaller ring. Great set, good clean pedal threads and finish

completely transformed my cheap stand up bike frame to a professional or high end crank set ...and solved the issue of the crank arms coming loose all the time from the low end bottom bracket. The only word of caution I have is that while they are cast aluminum and thus much harder, they are still aluminum and thus you should not torque the nut or screw past the rated torque as, at that point it will start to deform and soon will work it's way too far back onto the square mount bottom bracket and cause a rub. While it did not do this for me, it did feel like I could just keep torqueing well past the max setting suggesting that it would just keep going until it simply deformed and widened the mount hole. All in all, I have only put 30 miles of trail riding on it, but they are tight and holding up nicely with no groans or noises.

I ordered this crank arm set to convert a bike from two chain rings to one chain ring , the crank set is of reasonable quality and fitted straight onto my bottom bracket, I like that it fits four bolt chain rings. My only complaint so far is the weight, the crank set is very heavy in comparison to big name brands I have used in the past or have installed on my other bikes, otherwise it’s a good crank set.

PROWHEEL makes good stuff - much of it aimed at the 1X-single speed-BMX market. The threads are well milled, everything apparently one-piece die-cast, and it's as good as any crankset in this market that we ever sold in our store. The big hurdle with some of the others here seems to be the weight, which I measure on my gram scale as 560 grams - including the fixing bolts.Comparing this to other 1X cranksets it's right in the same range as the better models I have used for track and street. At the velodrome, you want something sturdy, stiff, and not a sea anchor, and I always raced on SUGINO cranksets just for that reason. My current cranks are the SUGINO MESSINGER RD-2. And they weigh 5 grams MORE than these PROWHEEL cranks do. Plus the cost is over $200. The top-of-the-line SUGINO 75 cranks weigh 680 grams, and the cost is currently 1 dollar a gram at $680 - if you can find any. Note that those are 130 BCD and 144 BCD respectively, and not compact 104 BCD like these PROWHEEL cranks. But still, they are heavier. Yet some really fast pro riders pick them every time.Sure, you can find lighter cranks. However, they are usually too flexy to transmit your power well, and it's actually possible to bend those lightweight cranks. We replaced more than a few of these "noodles" for customers over the years. You will not have that problem with these PROWHEEL cranks, and they are standard JIS taper that will fit a large variety of readily available one-piece cartridge bottom brackets. A really nice feature is that they come with a pair of fixing bolts, that are pre-treated with loc-tite. All marks of a well-made and well-thought-out product.OVERALL - The easiest way to get faster is to drop rider weight, use good components, and train harder. These cranks will get you there just fine. Without breaking the bank. Keeper!

Very nice quality crankset for the price. The casting is surprisingly very clean and they look very nice on bikes. Great for resto-modding old bikes especially if you're looking for the slightly shorter 170mm size!
