Had to Pay $$ but it is engineered for my proxon tools...it has some nice features...the back support is the same height as he jaw....the manufacturing tolerances allow a tight jaw vice that slides flawlessly making precise clamping a joy.

Comme quasi toujours avec la marque, il est rare d'être déçu.Ne permet pas un serrage en force mais vu vu de la taille ce n'est pas fait pour.

I came and purchased because I had saw an idea from a Polish YouTube channel using vise 24260 solid steel or whichever, so I designed a different style myself, drilled and tapped (M4x.07x30mm) while using nuts/washers to help secure the vise to the custom bracket. While I don't like the John Deere Green and Yellow colors, it cuts very small parts, all threads, round stock, or even bolts you need to take off just a few mm or band saw it in half, it holds securely with 0 issues... Reclean your threads or chamfer them after your cuts and you'll be thankful. A+ across the board 10/10 no complaints, didn't see the point in getting the 65 small vise compared to this one for 20, makes no sense for cost effectiveness... Unless someone else can point out the difference I don't see any other than the price and the finish... There is a small v block in the middle to help hold round parts, or even flat bars or weird shaped stocks...

Proxxon has great products and trust them. Was this supposed to come with the underneath attaching hardware anchor onto the base of a Proxxon Drill Press for example? Seems odd the vice/clap would be sold without some sort of standardized hardware.

It's an O.K. Vise for crude or free hand drilling and other craft work. This vise is a knock off of the Japanese made one offered by Micro Mark. Theirs is aluminum and both have the tendency of the movable jaw to rise when tightened. This Proxxon vize is made of Zamak zinc alloy. The description says that this vise will work with the MF70 mill and with their X-Y positioning table. Yes, but the results will be disappointing.Thier 24260 solid steel machine vises are much better. I have one that I an satisfied with and have been using for 6 years. I just ordered two more. I hope they are still made in Germany. The hold down slots using M6x1 hex headed screws and using a 10mm open end wrench is very arkward. I drilled a couple of 1/4 inch holes right above the screw position trough the bottom jaw surface of the vise and used 10-32 socket headed set screws. The steel is not hardened and any high speed steel drill bit will work. This allows me to use 10-32 square nuts with my Proxxon MF70 mill, standard T-nuts with my Taig Micro-Mill, standard T-nuts with my Sherline mill, any T-nut supplied by A2Z-CNC with any other mini or micro mill.
