i did not think i would find a baking element for my old stove on amazon but there it was. install took about 20 minutes and my oven is fixed. no new oven needed.

I needed a replacement heating element for my Hotpoint oven. I found the one I needed on Amazon. I ordered it and it came in a few days. It was very easy to install. I only needed to attach two clips to the element prongs and insert the element into the back oven wall and put the two screws in that I had taken form the broken element. When I turned the oven on it worked great and is still working great.

The only problem I had was with the design of the GE oven. The element had to come out through two small holes at the back of the oven. I tried to gently wiggle the old element out but one of the terminals disconnected. So I have to pull the entire stove out to access the rear. I remove two screws to take of the cover over the terminals. The terminals slipped right onto the new element and I put everything back the way it was. There was a little smoke when it first heated up but it only lasted about 10 seconds.
