This bit may be ideal for some horses. It is not the best for a mouthy horse/pony. My bugger LOVED the bit. However, he is only 4 and still has baby mouth... by which I mean E V E R Y T H IN G goes in his mouth to be chewed on. It didn't take long for some rough edges to show up. I filed those down. However, I noticed he'd chewed some places down to the metal on the joint ends today. Going to go with the most similar in all metal.

This horse is happy with this bit. So if he is happy I am happy.

Rescued mustang who has been very reluctant to take the bit… probably forced or trained inappropriately in his past… is taking this bit. Re-training the right way!!! And yes, I had all his teeth taken care of as well to relieve any possible issues.

I purchased this bit thinking it would be a good solution for my horse while having some dental work done. I received the package on time, however, upon opening it, I did not notice any smell or flavor to indicate it was a flavored bit. The material was hard and there was a sharp piece of plastic protruding from one of the plastic/rubber ends. I would never put something like that in a horses mouth and risk a mouth injury. I returned this item for a refund and do not recommend this bit.

The exact same as the happy mouth loose ring snaffle, just doesn’t get chewed through as easily!

We've been fine tuning things with my mare who was previously abused. Now that her mouth is so much softer, this has been a great bit. Best response so far!
