Definitely does NOT move air like the original fan. The cage is smaller and appears to be too far recessed into the fan housing so rather than sucking in (like a scroll fan does) it's just circulating the air in it. That being said, my pellet stove isn't heating like it once was.The fan is definitely quieter than the original. But if I bring the speed setting down on the stove the fan starts whining. With it being quieter, I have no problem leaving it on full blast.When the cold weather breaks I plan to attempt to install the factory cage into this fan assembly.
