If I was wearing this for longer periods of time, I might go with something a little more higher quality. That being said...The good:- It is light weight! Thin material that I can easily stick into my pocket if I'm not using it.- I found that it's breathable. Obviously there is something in front of your mouth/nose, but I didn't find this obstructive to my breathing.- It did a good job from protecting me from sunburn.The meh:- Cool? Eh, not really.- I wore it as a headband for a while and it seemed to stretch out some as it felt big around my face afterwards.If you're looking for a simple, easy, and low cost solution - this is a great choice.

This neck gaiter is fantastic! It’s super breathable and lightweight, making it perfect for a variety of activities, whether you’re hiking, biking, or just out and about. The sun protection is a big plus, and it keeps you cool even on hot days. I love that it’s unisex and fits comfortably without being too tight or restrictive. I got this because I needed a new buff to use when I am working in the garden. I wanted something to protect from the hot sun when I am pulling invasive weeds, and I was hoping that the breathable material would be good for keeping the dust and grass from irritating my lungs when I am mowing/ weed whacking. This delivered on some of the advertised promised and totally failed on others.It is very lightweight which is nice because I will be able to take it hiking and not worry about my backpack being weighed down. It is also fairly soft and doesn’t have any itchy spots that rub against your neck, at least not so far as I have seen. The seams are all sewn securely, although they are finished a little sloppily on occasion.The soft material is unfortunately both hot and not breathable, I cant imagine hiking or working on a hot day in this, especially not if I were to use it to cover my mouth. I felt like I was being suffocated when I wore it over my mouth and nose. It will be good for cold weather hiking and workdays, although I would still not wear it covering my nose and mouth even in the cold.I tried out a few of the styles depicted on the bag, they worked ok as long as it didn’t involve much twisting or tying. The easiest one was twisting in the center to make a sort of cap out of it, but it ended up too small for me and didn’t look good. Then I tried a more complicated balaclava style and I just could not get it to fit right, I kept feeling like I was being choked because of the pressure it put on my throat. It felt too short and too tight. The thing is, I am a petite person so I can imagine if you were bigger than me, it would be very uncomfortable to wear it any way except for loosely around the neck or just over the nose. It fits ok on my neck, but when I went to put it over my nose, I realized that it was loose on my nose and would continuously fall down, this probably wouldn’t be an issue for someone with larger proportions that me, but it was frustrating for me to deal with.This gaiter is mostly just ok, it has decent stitching and is lightweight, but it is not breathable, or cooling and it fits too snug in some ways and not snug enough in others. It isn’t terrible for the cost, but it didn’t deliver on a few key promises.

I ride a bike on various trails and always wear a helmet. I hate when a bug finds its way into my helmet via a vent and starts crawling around trying to find a way out. So I started to buy this type of neck gaiter and wear it as a doo rag. I figured I would try this one and found it comfortable and it fit fine. My hat size is 7 ½ if that helps anyone. I haven't had it long so I can't speak to how well it will hold up over time.
