I am comparing this to another pull-up bar I recently reviewed. That one had two bars that connected in the middle and, as a result, began to bend immediately upon use, despite the same 300 lbs claim. This one, however, is much more sensibly designed. You have a solid bar in the middle that connects to two supporting rods on either side. As a result, it's much more confidence-inspiring when in use. Yes, it's nearly twice as much as that other one, but I'm much more inclined to believe this one can handle my weight.

The pull-up bar is very convenient; it can be quickly installed at any door, the width of which is in the range of 24-40 inches. It affords various exercises for upper body and core workouts - making any room in the house a mini gym. The bar was delivered unassembled in a compact box. There were several component pieces, but assembly was not difficult with the joints made with bolts and nuts. With many joints there may be a bit of "give" when in use, however one need not worry as the bar is built for body weights up to 300lbs.
