Im using this device in the U.S. to use as an addition to my current 2k source. Now, thank you, I am completely in control, knowing when to omit the 2k element and control the entire distillation run using my new, with a cooling fan, scr pulse width modulator from start to finish. To the seller, hands down i have the elements, 2k and 3.5k, 5.5k at start up to finish is awesome.Thank You.

For not much more you can buy a 10000watt rated unit which in my experience is a better option, used this one for a 1650watt element but definenatly got warm to the touch.

Works, but not well. Starts off at 70 volts, then midway drops to 40 volts, then jumps quickly to 120 volts.

Defective potentiometer. Very NON-LINEAR when attempting to dial in required voltage. Does not work to specifications.

The sticker on the side says that there is no need to differentiate between hot and neutral for both the input and control signals, but one of two units I ordered had both the input and control neutrals shorted to ground. Luckily I checked before plugging it in and was able to make sure the incoming neutral was the terminal that was shorted and not the incoming hot.The control is pretty awful, but it sort of works. There is no current until about 2/3rds of the way up the dial, then it kind of goes up in unpredictable jumps. If you play with it a bit you can dial in the level you want but it's nowhere near linear. Then, when I was fixing the issue described in the first paragraph, I accidentally touched a ground screw to the hot terminal while testing and blew up the thyristors. So, guess I'll get a new one but I'm not super impressed with it. The mounting holes are also super close to the chassis, making it extremely hard to mount to anything with nuts and bolts.
