Iโ€™ve had my LG refrigerator for almost nine years and previously used the OEM LT120F air filters from LG. When I saw this two-pack of compatible PUREPLUS air filters for just $11.99, it caught my attention as there is significant savings compared to the OEM product. These PUREPLUS air filters fit perfectly in the designated slot and were very easy to install โ€” no hassle at all.I had waited a bit over six months to replace my last air filter and started to notice a slight odor in my fridge. After installing one of these PUREPLUS air filters, the odor was gone by the next day, indicating it must function just as effectively as the original OEM air filter. They seem sturdy and well made with quality materials. The listing states these compatible air filters should last for six months, just like the OEM version, so weโ€™ll see how they hold up.

Vendor Pureplus offers this two-pack of L120 air filters that perfectly fit our LG refrigerator. There are lots of things to like about these filters:1. Their dimensions are the same as the OEM, so they fit precisely into the air filter port of our fridge.2. They have several layers of activated charcoal, etc., to keep fridge air smelling fresh for 4-6 months.3. They are super easy to install...done in seconds. As noted in the photos, we unpacked, examined and then tested one of the two filters in the pack by placing it in the air filter port of our LG refrigerator. Installation was a breeze. The refrigerator immediately sensed that a new filter had been installed. It works as intended. Our only issue is its poor value for the money. In this two pack, the per-unit price is $6. That is the highest per unit price of the 28 other vendors of LT120 filters we quickly scanned on the Amazon marketplace. Pureplus itself sells these filters at a per unit price of only $2.25 if you purchase its 12-pack. So, it might make sense to invest in this larger pack if you want the product from this manufacturer, but at a lower price.

I recently purchased the PUREPLUS LT120F Refrigerator Air Filter Replacement for my LG fridge, and I am very impressed with the quality. The installation was super easyโ€”just a quick swap with the old filter, and it fit perfectly.Within a short time, I noticed a significant improvement in the freshness of my fridge. It effectively eliminates odors and keeps everything smelling clean. The filter seems to be just as effective as the OEM version but at a much more affordable price.I will definitely be purchasing this again when it's time to replace my current filter. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and budget-friendly alternative to the LG brand filter!

These fit perfectly in my LG refrigerator. They are not exactly the same as the LG filters... missing the screens on the outside, but does have the carbon looking screens on the inside. Otherwise, they fit and work (I guess... never had smells anyway). The price is good.

There's an (intentional) bit of misdirection in that any refrigerator "air filter" is actually a "filter" in the conventional sense. No air actually flows through them - in our previous refrigerator (Electrolux/Frigidaire), the thing mounts under a shelf in the door and only one side of it is actually "open" at all.The same is true for this LG/Kenmore design. Even though the "filter" mounts right next to the evaporator fan, and has air blowing over it all the time, no air actually goes through it. There's a good reason for that, if you think about it: anything that impedes the airflow robs your refrigerator of efficiency, and a clogged filter would mean spoiled food and disaster. So these are all just activated carbon odor-absorbing panels that just happen to mount where the manufacturer wants them to go; it's not really more functional than the ol' "box of baking soda" that does the same thing. Manufacturers like to have them, though, because many homeowners will dutifully fork over $40-50 dollars every six months when the trusty reminder light goes on - it's extra income.Do they work? Well, yes, seems like they do. When you swap out a filter the old one smells quite stale - it really does latch on to odors, and activated carbon is a miracle of absorbent surface area. These filters seem quite well made, and have the proper fit for our LG fridge. They ship in their own little zipper bags to keep them fresh, and the price is a whole lot better than the manufacturer's. They're easy to install, once you get the hang of removing that "Fresh Air" plastic cover over the evaporator fan - it always feels like you're about to break it when it comes off (on LG, that cover twists about 1/8 of a turn counter-clockwise to remove). This filter then just replaces the one that's latched to the inside of that cover. Like I said, it doesn't impede the airflow - but all the cold air into the refrigerator will flow over it.

It's kind of hard to know if these are working as well as OEM and if they will last as long. They are definitely more affordable. OEM filters are basically a perforated active carbon wafer. These have a much thinner active carbon wafer and an active carbon sponge. Who is to know which one is more effective at trapping odors? I haven't noticed a big difference, but I haven't put anything excessively stinky in my fridge, either. So for now, I'll take the price win and continue to monitor whether this is a great value or a functional compromise.

Don't bother with the insanely priced OEM filters. These are every bit as good.

I have an LG refrig. They are really proud of their air and water filters. Except for the black screen material on the front and back they look and measure exactly the same as the OEM filter. I installed one in the filter housing of my LG refrig and it fits perfectly. These should help keep any unpleasant odors out of the refrig.
