The deer devoured it along with the "overpopulated turkeys" here in Central Maine. The size of the big bucks coming to it was impressive. I would have given it a 5 star but it is pricey which would deter a vast majority of hunters I believe.

We have 20 acres deer like to graze on. We bought this for the deer and they loved it.

I bought this for my backyard in suburban Atlanta. A lot of area woods were torn down to build more homes and so we all are see more deer moving around, plus now (mid-November), it is mating season. I thought to help a few hungry deer out as they find their new space.A block of this was set close to the house. I hoped to snap a few photos. I do see them but mostly when it is too dark to get a good shot. It makes me happy to see them. I gave them a Halloween pumpkin too.They came almost immediately. The same night.There's nothing to the set up. Unwrap and put where you like. Be sure the plastic is completely off, but that's it.It does soak up water but mine didn't fall apart. Thankfully, the squirrels are ignoring it.I expect to get one or two more this season, depending on how much the deer eat. In my case, I think it will last about two months but that's too early to call.Anthony Trendl
