This is a healthy cat food that’s been a favorite for a long time. Now for some reason it’s gotten really hard to find. However, not only did I find it at Amazon, I got it delivered the next day! My cats are happy again.

I couldn't not find this food at any stores after buying it once for my cat. I found it on Amazon at a great price! The order came quickly and my cat loves this food! She will not eat any other food but this so very thankful Amazon has it in stock.

I've been trying to find cat food that is higher quality, as my cat gets older and I get more savvy about how important their nutrition is...Unfortunately, I have possibly the most picky cat on the planet!!I have wasted countless dollars on high quality, high dollar food. My cat takes one sniff, turns his nose up and walks away!!Purina Beyond is a more middle of the road price-point. It has a solid reputation and the ingredient list is reasonably good. I asked my vet what he thought of the brand and he said it was quite good, especially for the price. He also said that it doesn't really matter how 'good' the high end foods are, if my cat won't eat them!!I bought a bag of Purina Beyond with my fingers securely crossed!!YAYAYAYAY!!!He absolutely LOVES it.He seems to have no sensitivity to it either...UPDATE: I tried the Grain Free, Wild Caught Whitefish flavor also. I think my cat might like that one even more!! So I usually give him a mix of the 2...

I personally consider the Purina Beyond cat food (based on my own research) somewhere between regular store bought cat food and the grain free very natural food. It has some nice ingredients, quite clean list. The ingredients seem good quality, but this brand of food definitely has a stronger cat food smell. My cat is quite fussy with food, but she loves the Purina Beyond. I didn't have any issue with switching to this brand/assortment and I purchase it anytime I don't want to experiment (my cat refused to eat more natural and more expensive brands). The `White Meat Chicken & Whole Oat Meal` is her `regular` or `basic`, along with the chicken and egg one. I bought the whitefish variety at some point and she didn't seem to enjoy it that much. My cat seemed to love the salmon variety the best, but somewhere in the middle of the bag she stopped enjoying it as much (it was a 6lbs bag). I also find that my cat tends to overeat a little with his food, so I recommend caution with portion size. The kibbles are on the medium to slightly larger side.My biggest complaint is the bag is not resealable; and issue wasn't resolved even with the new 2018 packaging. So I have to transfer the food to an airtight container. I prefer to buy the 3lbs size because I noticed the food looses quality in time due to air exposure and I prefer buying in smaller quantities to make sure my cat's food is fresh; my cat also does not seem to enjoy this food as much is bag was open for too long.I buy this on Amazon only when the price is better than the one at my local grocery store.Notes on the re-packaging:-> With the new package (spring 2018) the kibbles look the same and my cat seems to enjoy them as much. I did noticed that the `Chicken & Whole Oat Meal` flavor has a better quality scent, with true hints of oatmeal. The ingredient list changed minimally, with the pea protein, rice, barley and oat changing order.-> Ordered in April 2018, after re-packaging, and received item in new package. Ordered in June 2018 and received item in old package. So there's no guarantee you will get a newer or an older batch of this food.

I used to feed my cats Wellness Core (which I recommend as a high quality cat food, but it's expensive) mixed with Harmony Farms (which was also good, but my grocery store stopped carrying it for some reason). Then Purina came out with One Beyond, which is the same as this food, but this was before they changed the name and the appearance and raised the price. I decided to try out the One Beyond and started mixing it with the Wellness Core and Harmony Farms. I noticed that the "good eater" in my kitty family would get really excited about the Purina food and she seemed to prefer it over the others. So eventually, we started only feeding them Purina One Beyond. The ingredients are good. The first ingredient is a meat and it doesn't have the bad fillers and stuff like corn or meat by-products. It does have a bunch of stuff that sounds healthy to humans, but come on, rice, barley, oats, sweet potatoes, carrots, and apples in cat food? Cats eat meat! But it's better than corn, which I have heard causes tumors in dogs and mice, so it probably has the same effect on cats. I figure that paying a little more for food now will save a little more in vet bills and heartache later, plus my cats will have a better quality of life. Another benefit to a healthier food for cats is that their poop doesn't smell as bad. Of course it doesn't smell good, but compared to a cat eating cheap corn and meat by-product filled food, it is the better of the two evils, no question. I've read this and I've smelled it in action, so I know it's true. Not only does it smell better coming out, but it smells better going in, too. Have you ever smelled Hill's Science Diet? My local animal shelter feeds their cats that stuff and when you walk into the lobby, you think the litter boxes need to be cleaned, but the smell is not from the boxes (they always keep the boxes clean) - it's from the food! I don't know which vets recommend that, aside from special medicated Science Diet food, but I wouldn't based on the ingredient list. It's not that good and that is probably why it smells so bad.Purina Beyond comes in bags weighing 3 lbs., 6 lbs., and 13 lbs. (though I think I've seen a few flavors in another size in between two of the sizes I've listed). My one male and two female cats weighing maybe 10-12 lbs. each can eat one 3 lb. bag in one week or one 6 lb. bag in two weeks. We were buying the 6 lb. bag, but then discovered that Amazon had the 13 lb. bag in stock, so I started buying it from here. I think I've been ordering the 13 lb. bag about once a month and it's nice that it ships right to our door and it cuts down on the grocery bills since we don't have to pick it up at the local store.Overall, I think this is a good food, and my cats agree.
