I found this item number in a YouTube search when I was trying to diagnose why my pool heater wasn’t heating. I called my local pool store and they wanted more than $100 for the same part. Easy to install and fixed the problem.

Initially concerned seller sent wrong item. Ordered 42001-0063S High Limit Switch, seller sends switch labeled Gas Shutoff Switch (no Pentair part numbers). MasterTemp 400 heaters also have a Automatic Gas Shutoff switch (AGS) part number 42002-0025S, so my initial thought was I got the completely wrong part. I eventually checked the specifications on delivered item vs original. Item does have same 135F cutoff temp, VDC, and thread size. Gave it a shot versus waiting another couple of days and it is working so far.
