I like the settings for low voltage cutoff and soft start. I was having a problem where to hit max speed you had to let off the accelerator then hit it again, probably adjusting to voltage drop under load. It also wasn't quite hitting the amperage i wanted before overcurrent protection kicked in. Very low quality connectors for pwm/brake pedals which i just soldered new ones for. My recommendation is to buy a cheap e-scooter controller instead and add an auto resetting automotive breaker if you're worried about overcurrent, and use a smaller voltage battery if you're worried about your kid going too fast
