I got this for a church event and it did great. I hooked it up to two big Peavey speakers and it made them sing. It looks good and is smaller than my old Peavey receiver. I knocked off one star because it is kind of loud. Our music was louder, but I can see it getting annoying in a speaking only setting. Other than that, I’m happy with the purchase.

Unit worked well for two months, then we turned it on for another Worship Service and there was no output. Could smell a burnt smell when this happened. Power on the front panel was on, but no output to the speakers. Too late to return it to Amazon. Contacted Pyle Customer Service and they responded via e-mail. Our option with their warranty was to pay for shipping the unit back to Pyle and then shipping back to us after their techs looked at it, and it would take 4-6 weeks. I would have been ok if they shipped us a temporary unit, but that wasn't offered. We couldn't wait 4-6 weeks so we purchased another amp/mixer from another company that is working well. And we purchased the extra insurance so we didn't have the same problem in the future.

I bought one about 2 years ago. Very light use and vocals only. Mostly rehearsal may have been taken out to small gigs 3 or 4 times.During rehearsal I smelled smoke and it caught fire. Since I had an upcoming engagement I bought another one. When I plugged it in it took about a minute before it actually started to work the mics. The power and fan started right up.You can bet you will be getting it back if it fails for my event on November 11th.Otherwise if it lasts 2 years I suppose that's a good thing.I do like the features and the price isn't bad. We shall see

The Pyle PMX840BT is a full featured PA amp at a great price on Amazon, complete with Bluetooth that allows for wireless music playback from a smart phone. Can be used as a PA amp for live music or karaoke and has inputs for RCA jacks and a 3.5mm headphone type jack to connect an mp3 player, CD, and/or karaoke player. It also plays back music from a USB flash drive or SD card. Vocal mics connect with XLR jacks (recommended), guitars and other instruments with std. 1/4" mono phone plugs. The XLR connections are more sensitive and give more volume to mics than using 1/4" mono phone plugs, so it's worth buying an adapter (or XLR mic cable) if your mic cable isn't an XLR type. The amp has an echo effect that can be added to vocals or any of the channels with individual channel controls for effect amount, bass, treble and volume. There is also a master volume control. About the only thing it doesn't have is a foot switch to instantly remove echo when talking into a mic, although the echo isn't real strong from this amp. It also has an effects loop output/input. There are only two speaker outputs which are 1/4" mono phone plug jacks, so if you want to connect a subwoofer or more speakers it would have to be from your speakers or from a splitter adapter. I use mine with two speakers on stands and a powered subwoofer that connects to one of my speakers and it sounds great! The volume from this is plenty loud for most applications, I recently used mine to provide music for dancing at a wedding reception and was asked to turn the volume down! Do understand that this is a mono amp, not stereo. It converts the stereo signal received from your external music source into a mono signal that is sent to both of your speakers. It's not a big deal for most applications and you will be hard-pressed to find an amp with all these features at this price!

I was VERY impressed with how well this unit worked in the application I bought it for. We used it on a parade float to help a a bass guitar, keyboard, and a singer be heard well along with our STRONG drummer. We ran six 8-ohm 12" 2-way loudpeakers. We ran 3 in a daisy chain from each output and sound quality was fine. No issues with clipping or anything. We got up to around probably 50-60% of the usable output of the unit, setting each channel's gain about noon, and each send close to noon or a little higher. Mains volume we had about noon to 2ish. The unit is quiet, not adding any undue hiss or buzz. Even more impressive, we were running off of a 3000 watt inverter we installed in our church van. It worked beautifully for 3 hours straight and didn't even get warm to the touch. I didn't use much of the effects or the bluetooth features, mainly because I didn't have time to try them out first. Thank goodness for fast shipping, or we would have been sunk! I normally stay away from these ... um... lower end electronics, but this thing works great. Very happy.

I am 4'9" small weighing 104 lbs; what I like the most is I can pick the mixer up; it is very easy to set up and the sound quality is great. I love the sound of my microphone and the fact that I can make all of the adjustments myself. I would like to be the one who can try new product so I can help promote it with all of my musician friends. I was signed with RCA Records in 1990, and I am very familiar with top of the line equipment, but I have to tell you for the price and the quality of sound that Pyle gives I am sold with testing and purchasing new equipment. I wonder what the Plye speakers and wireless headset sounds like with this mixer?

Worth the 130.00 but not much more. Not built to last, but cheap enough to take a chance. High end amps like this with crest or mackie are at least 400 and up and don't have the equalizer or mixer, only the amp, the best thing to do is get a crest amp. and buy a mackie mixer and ur all set. This is ok for home practice, as the hum is loud and fan Loud and gets hot. U get what u pay for, but worked ok for my wife singing practice at home. Does it work? Yes if u get lucky as some don't work. But not for long term use. Or any gig but ur home or garage gig.
